Players with "No Right Uniform"

This is basically the thread for players that are remembered for wearing multiple sweaters. The biggest example of this has to be Teemu Selanne, but there are may other ones I can think of as well. So I figured I'd mention Stephane Fiset. Yes, people will always talk about him and his time a Nordique, but seeing him as a King also looks right to me. He had his most success there as well.

Who do you think deserves this proud honor? I have a few more IMO that I'll point out later on in the thread.

I'm confused. Is this a "he played with so many teams" a la Bruce Chen kinda thing? Or a "he was really good on more than one team" a la Reggie White kinda thing? Or both?

It's probably great or good player who played with more than one team. You can add Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier to the list, both starting out with the Edmonton Oilers and ending their careers in New York. Gretzky, of course, also known for his time in LA, starting the southern US expansion craze.

to me the best baseball player who really doesnt have even 1 team to identify with would be Gary Sheffield. I guess maybe Florida would be my choice for him but hes played so many places its hard to really claim 1 for him.

A lot of these guys have 2 or 3.. like for example I think Most people when all is said and done will think Lakers for Shaq, Cavs for Lebron -- maybe Heat (talking about 10 years after he retires, 20 years from now if he plays 16 years on cavs and 4 on heat)

But theres guys out there that are great players - hall of fame level -- that you cant really even pinpoint 1 signature team you know.

NFL: Randy Moss

MLB: Mark McGwire

NBA: Jason Kidd

NHL: Ed Belfour

Soccer: Cristiano Ronaldo

Vikings, cards, nets, hawks, who? JK

Good arguments for all. But Moss/Pats, McGwire/Athletics, Kidd/Mavs and Belfour/Stars are worth considering as well.

NFL- Jeff George, Kurt Warner possibly (Rams/Cards both equally impressive)

MLB- Carlos Beltran

NBA- Dennis Rodman (Pistons/spurs/Bulls) Shaq is a good one (ORL/LAL/MIA), Barkley (Phi/PHX/Hou) and Mitch Richmond (GS/Sac)

NHL- currently- Luongo, Bryzgalov. Past- Cujo, Roy, Tommy Salo, Patrick Lailme, Nikoli Khabibulin.

Soccer- everyone (they belong in their national team kits).

Moss' time with the Pats was brief, his time with Minnesota made his name and made him the legend he is today. I'd venture to say Terrell Owens is a better example- all three original stops are equally memorable for him. SF/PHI//DAL all have big key moments for TO.

McGwire really hit the national spotlight in 1998 with Maris and each season after- his Oakland days have been overshadowed by his STL ones.

Kidd was the Nets in 2000's. I really have to strain to see him in Dallas over PHX and even then it's his 2012 year I remember a bit more.

Belfour with Dallas is good- but Eddie the Eagle did so much in Chicago that it's hard to get that out of my mind- and I was 9 when he went from CHI to SJ to DAL.
