monkeypower
My dad and I were talking after Hester broke Deion Sanders record and how Sanders had played football and baseball. So could someone like Sanders or Bo Jackson still work in today's sports worldWe both said no because there's more of an emphasis on being a team's "property" now and how they wouldn't want a player to spread himself thin, instead of focusing on a single sport in regards to training and offseason recovery. Veras
Even Bo Jackson says no.Twenty-five or 30 years ago when I did it, I’m not trying to say anything negative about other athletes, but the talent pool wasn’t that deep. In this day in age, with all the high-tech training, computer-engineered workouts and the proper food and diet, if you try to concentrate on two sports, I guarantee you’re going to ride the bench in both because the talent is that deep. Stick to whatever sport you’re comfortable with and let everything else go. JayMac
Plus teams have too much money invested in a star player. They wouldn't allow him to play another sport.
