Digby
When it comes to MLB caps I only wear the on-field authentics or the Cooperstown Classics. All those "thugged out" hats just pies me off. For other sports I don't want any funny colors or crazy designs. The 90's looking snapback are probably the only exception as you can see with my '47 Brand Illinois snapback and I also have a Red wings New Era snapback that isn't pictures. What are "Cooperstown classics"?Anybody wear a Ebbets Field Flannels cap? Seems like they're one of the few companies who still make wool caps.New Era makes a line of caps they call Cooperstown -- typically throwback caps for MLB teams as you'd guess. And FWIW, those and several New Era fashion caps are still wool, and they're still my favorite to wear (as long as the temperature is below 85). PhantomDreamer
There are a bunch of items that fall under the "Cooperstown Collection" banner, that is why I asked if there was a specific line called "Cooperstown Classics". I have 2 American Needle caps that have "Cooperstown Collection" tags.
Digby
Here's the current lineup of New Era Cooperstown caps — I lied, not all of them are wool, but many are including the mid-70s red Red Sox cap I've got. http://shop.neweracap.com/Mens/Sport_mlb/Style_59fifty-mlb-cooperstown?page=1 Fan Style ShirtsShowcasing fan-made sports apparel by artists and designers

Beluga4
I just added this cap to my collection (This is not my picture and don't worry I took off the tags) all I have left is the Cubs, Rangers and Pirates and then it is on to the Minors. justen
I have 25 total. Every Mariners' official on-field cap in history except the 1977-80 trident, a few assorted minor league and Cooperstown collection caps, and five or six from my university's baseball team. I'm about to graduate and become even poorer than I am now so that may be all for awhile Side note: for those interested in collegiate caps, Richardson is the most accessible brand by far, but The Game sells some lids that are unparalleled as far as comfortable high crowns are concerned. The Game sells some lids that are unparalleled as far as comfortable high crowns are concerned. Is there such a thing? I never understood why New Era or anyone else started making the ridiculously high crowned hats. What is the reasoning? If you have a smaller head size, they look ridiculous and are pretty much unwearable. That what I -as a 6 7/8 head, have to deal with. That said, I still have to get the new Stars and Stripes each season for my Marlins and have an on field of every style. About 20 Marlins hats, 7 Buccaneers, 20 MSU Spartans, 13 Sharks and about 15 random NHL, NFL and MLB.
BlackBolt3
Oh man, I have a lot of 90's hats. Navy and periwinkle Angels, purple and gradient Devil Rays, navy and gold Astros, and a Mighty Ducks toboggan that has really come in handy this year. Digby
Seems a good place to ask... what is that site that has tons of minor league and low-crown New Era hats? Might even be primarily mail-order. I know I've seen it linked on this board before. FiddySicks
Now that's a nice collectionJust some advice. If you're a hat junkie like me, don't ever get a job at Lids or Hat Club On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Some of the low-crown hats are stitched poorly or have bad brims, so sometimes it can be a letdown to get a great cap but poor hat construction. Smart is believing half of what you hear. And since the neweracap.com store looks to be aligned with Lids, I'm surprised Lids doesn't make them available on its site. Maybe there's some kind of non-compete clause, which would give minorleagues.com huge leverage. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half. Sport
I only own two 5950's. One is a Reds hats that I bought on 5/2/2004 so it's almost ten years old. It's dirty as can be, worn in, and I love it. My girlfriend bought me a brand new one last year, but the high profile looks goofy on my head so I haven't worn it much. I also have a fitted Reds cap from the 80's that I found for $3 in a novelty store in Athens, OH. No puff embroidery, no mlb logo on the back. It's awesome.Other than that I own a bunch of 47 brand hats. They're comfortable and I like the way they look on my head. I'm allowed to wear hats to work so I cycle through a few each week. Here's the collection:Ohio Universitygreen. Pawprint.green. FiddySicks
I apply to Lids every thirty days... keep praying they call!I wouldn't be that happy if I were you. Genesco (which runs Lids) is a pretty terrible company to work for. I've worked for them on and off for the last 7 or 8 years and have left every single time because upper management was such a problem. I'm not sure of your location, but of you're anywhere near a Hat Club, apply there. They don't have nearly the micro management that Lids has, and they have a WAY better selection. phutmasterflex
As a customer, Hat Club has better customer service. Lids may have a better variety of selection, but Hat Club has more designs that I like Go A's!
