Looks cool, but blue is nowhere to be found on their regular home uniforms. I'm sure they'll wear 17 alternates that use blue now that Lebron is back.

Also, Cleveland has a pretty nondescript skyline so I don't know why they chose to include it there, but skylines seem to be all the rage in the NBA these days.

Disappointed to see the blue since their primaries don't have it. This does not bode well for the few of us that love their current simple primaries.

I don't tend to like things like skylines but this is relatively non-obtrusive. I would like this court if they'd stuck with the current primary colors.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

I also love their current set, with that being said, I'm a big fan of the navy cavfanatic uniform.

I agree. The blue is a big downgrade and brings down the court overall. I think having a 2-tone court, the Out of Bounds would be the perfect place for additional second wood tone. I'm also not sure the drop shadow on the center court C fits with the rest of the court.

I think the subtraction of the C/Sword logos outside of the key is a big downgrade as well.

The random Cleveland wordmark is the only thing I don't like. Pretty cool they added in the blue.

edit: Maybe with the navy on the court, they're hinting at a new navy alternate this year. I'd love those CavFanatic unis to become full timers.

There it is again... what does that even mean?

I think it means "not icononic". NYC has an iconic skyline. The Space Needle makes a skyline work for Seattle. There are few more.

So it's not "iconic".

If they want to display THEIR city's skyline on THEIR court, why is it a problem?

Oh, they can do whatever they want. It's just dumb. If your city has a bunch of buildings, roughly the same size, without a really tall one or a very uniquely shaped one, it's non-descript. I can guarantee you that 9/10 people from Cleveland would look at that skyline illustration and not know it was supposed to represent their city. It's like the Cavaliers are trying really hard to look Big City, when the actual big city teams with distinctive skylines (Knicks, Bulls) are above such things. Cleveland's not a big important city, and that's okay. They need to not act like it's one. If they have to fluff themselves, just print "At least we're not Detroit" on the baselines and be done with it.

I know most people probably won't but I really, really like this.

It appears most people on the forums don't like it but by living in Cleveland myself, I can tell you the fans absolutely love it.

Psst... I'm a Cleveland fan. ;)

But yeah, I'd be shocked if the reception isn't overwhelmingly positive in the 216.

I'd love to see a hybrid of the current jerseys and the last set — someone put together a concept a little while back that had navy numbers under wine "Cavaliers" text all outlined in gold. That'd be ideal.
