I just can't get over that Ontario Beavers Cod. It's so cute... ehm... cool!! Would it be normal for grown men to have stuffed/plushies of these cods? :P

It's O.K. #1...even the most manly of men cannot resist the B-Cod.

Plush toy Hockey Cods...nice idea.

Norte Dame Fighting Cods

Missed that one. I'll get 'er done, llf.

Would you be willing do a Red Wings (Cod Wings?) one before wrapping up the project?

Because I love the Wings...sure.

Toronto?

Hell, I'd love to see the entire NHL (with the North Stars too)! :D

I definitely won't be able to do the entire NHL right now, charger.

But Toronto?...

It's funny that you mention Toronto.

If the Leafs had lost to the Sabres last night, I was going to roll out this T.O. Hockey Cod bad boy...

...But, they came through, so I didn't have to.

Instead, I did up a more appropriate Leaf-Cod...

When I saw this it reminded me in some ways of an old Elston cartoon for the Whalers:

That's good greyraven.

Even the crossed-out eyes are similar.

I've never seen the Whalers logo upside down before.

It looks like a logo for Lanny MacDonald or Movember.

The Whalers were in the NHL for 18 years?? Wow.

THIS IS AWESOME!!!!

Can I be the first to bring a little constructive criticism to the Cod?

I am no fisherman by far, and have only been at the Aquarium a handful of times in my life, but while your fish is adorable and so versatile (That's why it allows you to branch out into so many outstanding concepts) when I look at the original drawing/cartoon, I don't see a cod. I see a fish, but my expectation of a cod is a long skinny "guy".

As I said this is meant to be constructive, so take it for what it is...

Would this detail prevent me from buying ANY of your products? Hell No!!!!!!

You need to approach someone who'd be willing to finance this venture, after clearing any possible copyright's issues.

Got 'er done...

Would you be willing do a Red Wings (Cod Wings?) one before wrapping up the project?

These are all amazingly clever and very well done! Would have loved to see how you handle more obscure logos like St. Louis, Philadelphia, and Detroit, but I understand the need to move on. Excellent stuff as always! :)

Thanks for the requests guys. I got Detroit done.

Ok, I'll be the selfish one here...

Please, Please, Please complete the whole league!!! :notworthy:

BTW... Thanks for doing Toronto! :D

Please, Please, Please complete the whole league!!! :notworthy: xxxx22222222

But i noticed you didn't include the sharks in your compilation on the page before this one. redoing it?

Thanks guys...I wish I had time to do the whole league. They're a lot of fun to do.

But work's a little crazy now, and with Christmas around the corner...

I have to wrap this up...sorry.

Hi Frenchie...Unfortunately accuracy had to be compromised for style.

I had to go with the "Cod" name.

Because it's a take on the popular "Hockey Gods" phrase,..."Hockey Tilapia" or "Hockey Maki-Maki" just wouldn't work.

I wanted the character to be styled after the roundish "Angry Birds".

So, it's a cod that just happens to look like a grouper.

You're right...if I was thinking of making this a reality, I'd have to get NHL approval, although most of them only "suggest" an NHL team.

Thanks.
