pianoknight
Saw this on Reddit - the Denny's in New Zealand use a Kiwi in place of the apostrophe. Subtle, but pretty cool design. 5th in NAT. pianoknight
I don't dislike it. The font has a bit of a playful tone to it, but that's to be expected from a diner perhaps.Anyway, thought the kiwi was a nice subtle touch for the NZ locations. 5th in NAT. TITLES | 2nd in CONF. greyraven8
Not sure what other American fast food chains located in other countries incorporate their own national imagery in the logo.McDonald's Canada is one:Anyone have some other examples? pianoknight
Those are pretty awesome. Too bad Wendy's didn't keep that look, it's nice. 5th in NAT. TITLES | 2nd in CONF. CDixonDesign
The Wendy's modification is okay with me, because you have to take a moment to see it.Throwing the maple leaf in the middle of the McDonald's logo is no bueno.
sc49erfan15
Arby's Canada used to use a maple leaf in the apostrophe. I remember joking during my two road trips through Western Canada ('06 and '08) that it was standard cliche procedure for fast food restaurants to make the maple leaf an apostrophe.Free Arby's with a 12-pack, lol CanadaUpon checking arbys.ca to see if they still use a maple leaf in the new logo, it appears Arby's Canada still uses the short-lived 3D logo. Weird.

BigRed618
I wonder why they would do that? It's not like there's much difference between a restaurant in the US and the same restaurant in Canada, is there? Wouldn't it be more cost-effective to have just one logo for every location on Earth?
