GriffinM6
So I love doing trick plays when playing Madden and most especially when I play football with my friends. Halfback passes and end arounds are some of my favorites. One that I came up with is a fake QB sneak, then pass. I set up in the back field at QB, started jogging towards the center, while I have two receivers to my right, one behind the other. I then catch the snap, then throw it to the back WR, while the guy in front blocks. It works well I have to say. So basically, I just wanna see some stuff you guys would use if you were a head coach or offensive coordinator, and also what your favorite trick plays are. sc49erfan15
It's not a "trick play" in the usual sense, but I've always wondered if it would be possible to punt the ball directly from the snap, on the fly.Obviously, it would require a ton of training from the long snapper and punter for the ball to have the perfect arc and be in the precise spot... but if executed, I think it would be a game-changer. The punt would be an absolute rocket, and the defense would have even less time to block it.There's clearly a lot that could go wrong, which it why it probably wouldn't ever work... but I've had that idea for a while. The punter would still only get a couple of steps. You'd save a few valuable seconds, but I don't see how even if you could pull off the snap every time it would be a huge deal - especially since you lose the ability to place the ball like When you're trying to pin them inside the 10. CS85
My high school team tried the "something's wrong with the ball" play, where the QB takes the ball from under center, talks to the official and coaches while walking to the sideline, then tearing ass upfield. There was a youtube video going around of a peewee team doing this for a touchdown. It got us about 8 yards, a huge laugh, and the other team was furious for us even trying it. Jake3roo
I would love to see a wildcat/fake qb sneak play.(for the end of close games) They would line up in some regular formation, 1 back. The snapper would give it to the back, he takes 2 heavy steps towards the line. He then pitches it to the TE, who pitches it back to the QB, who throws it to the WR streaking down the left. Germanshepherd
Back in NCAA Football 12, dominating in every game got boring so I invented a new trick play offense based around this play I called the FB Dive option. First I called FB Dive out of Goal Line formation. Then the first part of the option was to see if there was good blocking and if there was run the fullback for 8 or so yards. 2nd option was hit the pitch button and toss it back to the running back and run for a few yards if there was no defenders near and option 3 wouldn't work. Option 3 was after the nearest defender rushed my running back I'd pitch it to the QB and gain some big yards. It worked semi-well until you fumbled and had to climb your way back into it with regular plays. But if executed right it might work well. i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience

DS729
Got this straight off of NCAA, but when you're pulling a last-second drive, the fake spike would be pretty awesome.
Lee Noire
I still can't figure out how Aaron Rodgers made that fake spike work earlier this season. Even when they played it slo-mo I couldn't make out the spike motion. He barely flinched his wrist, and everyone on the defense bought it. That man is a wizard. Brave-Bird 08
We ran a play in pick up football called the "baby carriage" Basically, we'd "huddle up" at the line of scrimmage, have a center bend over and hike the ball into the huddle. At this point you have a ball carrier in the middle and a bunch of offensive "lineman" essentially holding eachother in a circle, with the ball carrier in the middle of it. Now there's a catch: It was two-hand touch. The baby carriage would simply just strut forward until someone finally got two hands on the runner. marble21
I played at University here in England. We had a fake punt where the ball would be snapped to the upback, who would hand the ball off to a pulling TE, with a pulling tackle blocking for him into a trap block. It worked most of the time.Excuse the bad drawing. We had a name for it which I can't remember. I think it might just have been "Roger". I'm not sure if it was stolen from a real life play (probably was). Maybe someone here recognises it? UBI FIDES IBI LUX ET ROBUR
NJTank
If I had a running QB I would do a hand off to the half back who reverses to the flanker who pitches back to the QB who can either run an open lane or pass to a open receiver. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
Watchman
How about the Spud play???? Basically a regular snap in which the QB throws the ball to himself...... then proceeds to run down the field for yardage.
DCarp1231
Line up two QBs in the backfield, side by side (obviously one would have to be a sub for a RB) defense would get confused as to who the ball is being snapped too. I always thought this could have work when Tim Tebow was in New York.
monkeypower
One play my team did in highschool was the QB would take the snap and punt it downfield for a receiver to go run and pick it up.
