Hi guys,

I have made this concept for the Jupiter Hammerheads. In the primary logo I wanted to cue that the logo was for a baseball team through the typography rather than putting an actual baseball. I Kept the typography to a classic baseball script. I thought it kept the feeling of fluidity that was present in the shark illustration. I also liked the idea of a cap logo that incorporated both the "J" and the "H" in the same letterform without looking out of place. I also wanted to pay homage to the history of the club so I kept the lighthouse in a secondary logo that can be used for an arm patch. I would love to get feedback thanks.

I have a problem with the fact that there is a lot of red being used in the secondary logo, but none in the Hammerheads script, numbers or team initial. I'd say drop the red in the secondary logo and replace it with teal or white.

I'm also not a fan of the (in my view) pretty generic looking JUPITER word mark. Maybe you could improve that because in contrast to the Hammerhead script it looks rather bland. I would use a more condensed typeface in this case.

Apart from that, it's all looking real good.

I really like your hat logo and your Hammerheads script. As others have said, the Jupiter script doesn't match the rest of the concept--especially since it is directly under a cursive Jupiter script. I also agree with the comment about how there shouldn't be red on the secondary logo.

I also think the shark in the logo could be improved. I don't like how it looks like the gill area; to me it looks like its a flotation device of some sort or an airplane's engine. Also, I wouldn't add the navy area on the face between the eye and the snout.

Was checking this out earlier, I really like the design overall. The color scheme is well done, but I feel like the text in the composed mark could use some white or light grey highlights to set it apart from the background blue. The only other thing that could maybe use a little tweaking is the eye. I think it could be a little more 'aggressive' looking, maybe by curving the 'brow' area a little more extremely, or thickening it? Not sure. Love the text style of Hammerheads and the overall flow. I don't have a problem with the JUPITER text, but maybe increase the kerning so that it balances a little better between the h's?

Great job! Very clean & professional. This is the kind of design I like to see.

There is one thing that caught my eye, the oval on the side of the shark with the gills - it may be interpreted as a football?

Maybe on more thing... Keep the border on the standalone H. On the hat - the border could be flat and the white would be raised.

Other than that, great job!

That oval around the gills caught my eye right away too. It looks like a bulge of some kind, especially with the gray shadow under it. Also, the blue fin on the far side could be slid up toward the head more. Other than that, there's a lot to like about this. I particularly like the tail fin.

I have thought someone needs to try and rebrand this team for a long, long time! Everything looks really good, especially the scrips!

The gray jersey with JUPITER could use some modifications. I would recommend putting the Jupiter scrip on the jersey and also adding the numbers like the teal jersey.

But great work in general and keep it up!

Like others have said, the red is really random for this logo package and non-cohesive (although literally, the lighthouse is indeed BRIGHT RED), and the plain "JUPITER" mark doesn't fit in with anything.

The JH logo on the hat needs an outline, I think. A teal and white hat that has a prominent H looks like a hat for the Charlotte Hornets.

The JH logo is, in itself, beautifully designed.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Very good concept, I appreciate the cleanliness and clear thought behind the work. I echo the thoughts on the oval highlighting shape, it does appear a little disconnected. You could probably get away with just some simple silver shapes for the gills. The cap mark is very nicely drawn, and is something you would expect to see on an actual baseball team cap. The shoulder patch is well rendered, and while I don't mind the red, it is very random when taken into context with the entire identity. I would definitely rather see the Jupiter script than the font on the grey jersey as well, it's very nicely done. I also don't think you really need the navy stroke on the script for the teal set, but it doesn't hurt at all.

Overall very well done, and again it's nice to see some originality and simple cleanliness.

Hi everyone, Thanks for all of the feedback. i will definitely look into how to treat the gills of the shark illustration. I did the sans serif text for the away uniform to add a little variation to the uniform set and I thought it would be nice to include both of the typefaces used in the logo in the uniforms. I thought maybe having script for both sets of uniforms might be redundant. With the reaction to the script "Jupiter" type, however, I will try that on the away uniforms. I used the red in the secondary logo because in Jupiter they have an iconic lighthouse that is red ( which is why it is red in their current logo), and I thought to keep it that color is a defining element of the landmark. I also thought in a branding perspective, not changing their color pallette from their existing would be a practical cost saving move for a refresh. Thanks again for all of the feedback.
