hockey week Posted October 9, 2015 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Am I the only one who likes these less now? It's all so dark, it all blends together. It's so bland. You really can't see the maroon as any different than the navy, the hemline is an itty bitty stripe, and all of the logo you can see is the white, just little flashes and outlines of white. Plus the unitard look with the pants and socks? No thank you. These are as garbage as the rest of their set. I'll respect any opinion that you can defend. The only thing making them better is the navy. Gorgeous.I hope they wear them a lot.Easily the best sweater they have.They look like a real NHL team!:I believe this is the first time the Avalanche have not worn black pants in a game too. Or helmets/gloves for that matter.Bring on the Navy!!I really hope this picture is off contrast and the such. If it isn't, my opinion goes back down to a hate. I mean, I really like navy in general, and I get that it's a strange departure for the Avs, but I'm starting to just look at the jersey itself. With hockey I think there's too much of an attachment to jerseys and vintage. If a team can come out with a decent looking jersey, even if it doesn't fit the others it wears (which is what the thirds are meant for) then that's fine by me. At least it'd be unique and the logo (still in blue...but their blue, not navy) would be a different color than the uniform. (I was going to say contrasting color, but that might be overstating it). I just don't like the direction they are going with the super Colorado Identity. They definitely are introducing Navy to the scheme. Last night the free pom-poms at every seat were all navy instead of the normal white.It is like they are going towards a "Colorado Coloradans" identity. Enough already.Just got done watching the Wild-Avs game, (Parise with the HATTY!!!) and the new "C" logo doesn't look so bad on the Avs shoulders, but it isn't the Yeti foot, and The middle is NAVY! So they added another color. I know all that was talked about, but it still baffles me why they added Navy. That game sucked! Haha They are changing to Navy because look at the Colorado State flag is navy. They needed to introduce the color into their scheme somehow.The Colorado state flag is navy?
