Yeah, the Oilers introducing the retro 3rd like that was solid marketing, because thousands of people already ordered their blue or white McDavid jerseys as soon as the Draft Lottery results were announced. Now those same people are jonesing for the new one.

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

Coyotes President and CEO, Anthony Leblanc's explanations for the new uniforms are absolutely laughable...

We are fortunate to have one of the NHL's best primary logos and as promised, that remains unchanged.

No, you have a decent, middle of the pack logo at best.

We went through an extensive process with the NHL and Reebok which lasted about a year and produced numerous different uniform combinations.

If I owned a hockey team, gave a design firm a year to create new uniforms and ended up with that, I would fire everyone involved. I could come up with a better design in 5 seconds... Literally.

We wanted to maintain the classic design of our old jerseys but create a fresh new look that our fans can be proud of.

What does that even mean?

The final product represents the very best of those efforts and we are thrilled with the final results.

If the Final product represents the "best" of your efforts, I really wouldn't want to the worst.

So now that 4 of the Original 6 have laces now, do Chicago and Detroit join the club next year?

According to NHLUniforms:

Detroit has never worn a lace-up collar on their home/away jerseys. I wouldn't expect them to change just for change sake.

Chicago hasn't worn a lace up collar on their home/away jerseys since 1965, but would they change? Probably not.

As great as those two uniform sets already are, I think laces would make them both even better, but don't do it just for the sake of changing

3 Stanley Cups say that Chicago should never change their uniforms again. Even though I'm sure the laces would look great.

The Ducks made a minor tweak to the home uniform, which now has a white lace:

Meh. Now it really sticks out like a sore thumb.

Either keep it black or make them orange.

I actually prefer them in white, but I can take or leave the laces either way. They'd be more befitting of a traditional uniform design.

They won two in jerseys that look nothing like today's. Things can change, and adding laces wouldn't be a monumental change.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Yeah, the 'Hawks could add laces and still maintain their "three Cups in six years" look.

Detroit really shouldn't, as they never really have worn them, but I'd like to see Chicago adopt them eventually.

Have there been ANY photos of the Avs home jersey with the Colorado shoulder patch?

Could they be doing what Phoenix is doing and put the location-centric patch on only the road jersey?

I doubt it, it's a very uncommon move, but I find the complete lack of home jerseys to be suspicious.

I'll respect any opinion that you can defend.

Yeah but right after the championships are won? Bad move. Besides, way too many teams have lace-ups already, most of which have no business in doing so. Not Chicago's fault but still. I like seeing variety in the collar designs and Chicago looks great as is.

Anyone have a photo of the new Road shoulder patch for Arizona? I have seen tons of pictures of the new paw logo on the home Jersey but haven't been able to find the new state logo

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

No, you have, without a doubt, the single worst primary crest in the NHL today. ..maybe ever.

Fixed that for you! ;-)

I think the thing I hate the very most about the Coyotes new set is that they kept the red helmets. black pants with a brick jersey and helmet looks so cheap.
