mattp0777
Texas tech wore a 1926 throwback this past week. Was that a home game?Yes it was
Botiger
Under Armour's faux wool looks really good. However, I don't get the thinking of making a throwback with lettering down the center(where buttons are) on a jersey that only has two buttons. TCU almost always looks good.Nothing new. Looks better with Chicago filling up the entire placketBut Chicago's buttons go all the way down. TT's only have 2 buttons.
krunyan
Right. And as a Cardinals fan, I can't agree that anything looks better with a Cubs logo on it.

lahaye7
Someone in another thread was asking about the future of baseball unis and pullovers came up, I say they are already here in this faux style. Nike does it with LSU baseball tops too. UA does does a great job with the faux wool look though. Wish Majestic would mix in this look for MLB full time road grays, if teams wanted it of course. I could see this happen for some of the throwback games, I think it would add a neat touch that the fans would get a kick out of.
krunyan
MLB needs to have Ebbets make ALL of their throwbacks if they were before the pullover craze in the 70's/80's. Their stuff is unmatched.
FiddySicks
MLB needs to have Ebbets make ALL of their throwbacks if they were before the pullover craze in the 70's/80's. Their stuff is unmatched. I'll agree with this in theory, but there are two problems. 1) EFF's are really beautiful jerseys, but it's FAR from comfortable wearing a traditional wool jersey and pants during a mid summer game. I have a gorgeous EFF San Francisco Seals jersey that I never wear because it's so scratchy and uncomfortable.2) EFF is basically a shoestring operation. Them trying to do throwbacks for an entire league would be an absolute nightmare. It takes weeks for them to send you a cap you've ordered from them most of the time, and MONTHS if it's a custom order. Good luck ever getting any retail gear from them when they're bogged down with so many orders from the league. Majestic/Under Armour could produce an awesome faux flannel look for those games and it'd be much more comfortable for the players and MUCH more feasible to produce. LEWJ
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a team that wore a jersey with a faux-placket? I seem to recall a jersey with a fake button down front that was actually a pullover. | BROWNS | BUCKEYES | CAVALIERS | INDIANS |

krunyan
Looks awful. Put it up there with the Tequila Sunrise and the orange alt top that they wear. I realize that college teams want more uniforms so they don't have to wash them all the time. But a lot of schools are way better off only having white/grey. doogie24
Due in large part to this thread over the past few years and the "Ultimate Baseball Look" blog, I have decided to get V Neck pullovers for the 21+ Baseball team I manage. Our team name is the Oakridge Reds, these will be a nod to the jerseys we wore growing up in the organization which were grey. We will be going with the Rawlings CS2 custom with 2 inch knit sleeve cuffs. As you would expect, we'll have a cursive 2 Layer twill wordmark to the front and a 4 inch number below. I work in Team Uniform sales, so access to companies like Stahls make embroidered patches a reality. These will go to the sleeve, and are a reboot of an older Redlegs logo. Our graphic designer did the redesign of the logo to have Redlegs wearing our current hat and jersey. You can check out his portfolio at pilotconcepts.com I realize this is a bit premature, but as these were ordered today I was excited to share the early stages of this creation, and of course will follow up with a finished product. Clintau24
Speaking of Auburn, they broke out the cream throwbacks this past Sunday, which was the 10th different uniform combo worn this year. The team wore 8 all of last year. "I believe in Auburn and love it!"
Billy B
The baseball uniforms were by far the worst part of the rebrand. At least they still wear the old white and gray uniforms this year. NewOld
