It only took them four years to figure out how to integrate the Maryland state flag into their uniforms without making them hideous.Louisville... I have no words. It seems like UofL is trying to become to Adidas what Oregon is to Nike. Stick to the growling bird and the gothic "L", black and red, and stop trying to make your uniforms "edgy". Please. Just stop. But I do agree with the rest being ugly. You can include the socks adidas are using this year. The shockweb socks are horrible. Miami wore them on Saturday. Sport Posted September 8, 2015 Share Posted September 8, 2015 Maryland's helmets are too much. They remind me of overly detailed airbrushed motorcycle helmets. I thought their first flag helmets were good as an alternate, but if I was designing the Maryland uniforms I'd drop the flag pattern into a sleeve insert or a shoulder stripe insert. Enough to be recognizable, but not overwhelming. Then I'd put this logo on a white helmetwith their old black-white-red-white-black striping, which would be matched on the pants. The handpainted helmets are really nice and work well, I think. As for the others, Missouri looked good, as did Utah, and I liked Oregon's base design. The helmets are a bit odd with the grey wings out from the facemask. I don't like that because it looks completely different depending on which helmet was being worn. It's different and it's not the previous Maryland Pride helmet that looked like a Rollerball reject. The Oregon helmet was okay but I prefer they either go with the wings or the Big O, not the short wings. They looked fantastic and their game with Michigan was one if the best looking matchups of the weekend, in my opinion.Utah would've looked decent in white pants. Or even black pants. I dislike all monochrome uniforms as a basic rule, but red, orange, or yellow monos are by far the worst.I just hope Ohio State changed the color of the TV numbers on their classic stripe home jerseys from black to white.And I was hoping they would change the TV numbers on the road to black instead. There's just something kinda blah about what they wore on Saturday. I think it's going to be a representation of their entire set this season.
