Apparently in D3 nobody cares that you can wear Adidas uniforms with Nike cleats

I'm pretty sure players at most D3 schools are responsible for buying their own socks and cleats.

I had to buy my own when I played D3. We had a shoe deal with reebok at the time for baseball and football so we got cleats at a good discount. I think about 1/2 off. Uniforms were someone else but we had Reebok travel gear. All the shorts and t's were some local place. Really all over the place.

I bought detachable reeboks that year thinking it'd be best for field turf but nobody really knew cause it was so new at that time. The team provided the replacement spikes. Ended up switching to my adidas high school cleats halfway through camp cause they wore down too fast. Poor college students only get one shot at picking the right clears when you buy them yourself!

I know here at BW our football uniforms are by Under Armour and our men's basketball are by Nike and our women's are by Wilson.

Rutgers broke out their old uniforms for the first time in years....

Good lord yes please

I actually disagree with what appears to be the majority here. Rutgers' current uniforms may have their issues, but their old sets look like they belong to a high school team. That said, an updated number font and move to a modern template and these could be drastically improved.

and yes i agree, their unis need a major upgrade (not modernization) but they should bring back the bright red and white and look more like a big ten team. imagining these unis against penn st or michgan, msu...basically any big ten team should give any traditionalist shivers

ps go hawks

At least the "primary" set (home maroon, road white, black alt) is separate from the mess that is their now awful Desert Whatever sets. It's disappointing that ASU has let Adidas take what was a really cool idea (and should've been a one off/once a year deal) and let them run it into the ground.

The Nike Desert Fuel set was VASTLY superior to this year's Adidas Desert Whatever sets. The copper they used looked fantastic, where the copper Adidas uses looks like a nasty metallic brown.

Honest question: when was the last time Adidas came out with an original uniform either for regular use or as an alternate that didn't look :censored:ing awful?

I know they've had programs who they've outfitted in pre-existing traditional uniforms and they didn't completely :censored: it up (Nebraska's regular unis, Wisconsin, Michigan, etc.), but I can't think of one alternate or new regular uniform of theirs that I didn't hate.

Texas A&M is the only uniform I can think of off the top of my head that isn't terrible.
