Seahawks Concept

For some reason Imgur isn't working right now so I'm going to link this on Photo Bucket.

It's a mix of the mid 2000s greyish blue with the current navy, neon, and grey. It's a block number font. This is my first ever time making on a concept on Photoshop so I do apologize for the bad quality. Any tips are helpful whether for the concept or my photoshop skills (for example I don't know why it's so blurry and bad quality).

I think if you cleaned it up a bit with how it looks it would be 100x better but so far its a solid look. And by clean it up, i meant that cause it looks like you just used the paint bucket tool to do this instead of using color overlays.

What program did you use for this? I personally don't like double blue for the Seahawks. I prefer navy, green, and gray.

I used photoshop.

Did you use the .psd version? This looks like you copy/pasted the template.

One other thing: Don't. Use. Black. Ever. For the Seahawks.

Lol I did. I have no idea how to use photoshop to make a uniform. Are there any good demos out there?

I copied and pasted the template into photoshop (is that not correct?) and its navy :).

If you're using photoshop the file should have many layers. If you just use one layer, like you did, it will look like you used paint.

Make sure you downloaded the .PSD file of the template and then open the file through photoshop. Don't copy and paste, then you will just have one layer.

Thank you! That's exactly what I did. I c&ped and then had one layer. Should I not use paint bucket?

It's fine to use the paint bucket tool for the base color of the jersey, pants, or helmet. If you have all the layers and are editing the right one, there shouldn't be a problem. But if there is just use the paint brush tool to fix it up.

Depending on the template, you might have other issues due to people editing templates and them re-posting their version with masks and others things. Sometimes you just have to mess around with the template until you figure it out.

One more question sorry. What do I do about the lines in the templates? The current template I'm editing to fix this concept has lines like most do (the ones that separate the mesh and the shoulders, etc). On the template I'm using, it comes auto filled in with red and blue. I'm trying to recolor it but the lines are still red and using the paint bucket tool on them makes the whole concept messed up. Idk if I'm explaining it well though.

In fact, is there a PSD template thread? I know there's a template thread but there's only maybe 1 or 2 decent PSD templates in there and both of them come filled in with colors.

I think I know what your problem is. Are the red and blue colors that you're talking about pixelated? If it is then you are using too old of a version of photoshop for that file.

There was the ".PSD Movement" thread, but that got merged into the template thread I think. You might have to go through a few pages to find some more photoshop templates.
