hailstateunis
I start this topic today as the coverage of College Baseball just got a whole lot better with today's launch of D1Baseball.com. They took this website, which previously was the only website to get updated scores from, hired the top College Baseball writers (Aaron Fitt from Baseball America and Kendall Rodgers from Perfect Game are the two leading writers), and made it the premier website for College Baseball. It even has a newly launched forum only for College Baseball. The site launched its own Top 25 rankings this morning also:1 Vanderbilt 51-21 SEC2 Florida 40-23 SEC3 Virginia 53-16 ACC4 UCLA 25-30 Pac-125 South Carolina 44-18 SEC6 North Carolina 35-27 ACC7 Houston 48-18 American8 TCU 48-18 Big 129 LSU 46-16 SEC10 Texas 46-21 Big 1211 Louisville 50-17 ACC12 Oklahoma State 48-18 Big 1213 Rice 42-20 C-USA14 Maryland 40-23 Big Ten15 Miami 44-19 ACC16 Texas Tech 45-21 Big 1217 Texas A&M 36-26 SEC18 Ole Miss 48-21 SEC19 Cal State Fullerton 34-24 Big West20 Alabama 37-24 SEC21 Florida State 43-17 ACC22 Oregon 44-20 Pac-1223 Nebraska 41-21 Big Ten24 Arizona State 33-24 Pac-1225 Tennessee 31-23 SEC26-30, in alphabetical order:ArkansasCal PolyClemsonCollege of CharlestonMississippi State. My inital recation is that it looks pretty good for preseason rankings. I'd have UCLA and Texas A&M lower, and Arkansas and Mississippi State (#Bias) higher. For reference, this was the Collegiate Baseball preseason ranking released last month (note the puzzling absence of Ole Miss):1 Vanderbilt 51-21 4942 TCU 48-18 4923 Virginia 53-16 4894 LSU 46-16-1 4875 Oklahoma State 48-18 4856 Florida 40-23 4837 Texas 46-21 4808 Houston 48-18 4799 Texas Tech 45-21 47710 UCLA 25-30-1 47311 Florida State 43-17 46912 Louisville 50-17 46813 Cal Poly 47-12 46714 Miami (Fla.) 44-19 46515 Oregon 44-20 46216 UC Santa Barbara 34-17-1 46017 Cal State Fullerton 34-24 45818 Stanford 35-26 45719 Arizona State 33-24 45420 Mississippi State 39-24 45221 South Carolina 44-18 44922 Rice 42-20 44623 Liberty 41-18 44524 North Carolina 35-27 44325 College of Charleston 44-19 44026 Georgia Tech 37-27 43827 Kennesaw State 40-24 43628 Clemson 36-25 43229 St. John's 35-20 43030 Kent State 36-23 42731 Ball State 39-18 42532 Wichita State 31-28 42433 Tennessee 31-23 42134 San Diego 34-20 41935 Loyola Marymount 32-24 41736 Arkansas 40-25 41437 Maryland 40-23 41238 Nebraska 41-21 41139 UC Irvine 41-25 40940 Illinois 32-21 405 http://www.hailstateunis.com
Clintau24
It's going to be an interesting season, especially in the SEC. Ole Miss, Alabama, Miss State, Vandy, and everyone else are going to be freaking tough. Possibly another long year for Auburn. "I believe in Auburn and love it!" Raysfan12
This is going to be a very difficult year for the Cards because they face Virginia, Miami, Florida State and other ACC powers this year.

They were good when State beat them in super regionals in 2013 and they were the best team in the country last year. Had they not given up that 9-run inning in Game 1 of the CWS finals, they'd be #1 right now instead of Vandy. http://www.hailstateunis.com
St Louis Cardinals
I liked the old D1baseball site better. #9 LSU vs. TCU

peckj22
As someone who's a prospective college baseball player in Ohio, I really like the new D1Baseball. Adding Rogers and Fitt was great.

illwauk
I guess this is as good a place as any to stick this.UWM Panthers to play in Oak Creek baseball stadium. As much as it sucks that the new park has to be so far from campus, at least this is the last year Wisconsin's only D1 baseball program will have to play at D1's worst baseball facility. __taylorc
I'm really interested in seeing how the addition of Maryland for the Big 10 will be. The Big 10 isnt really known to be good in baseball other than maybe 1 to 2 teams every year but it should be really nice too see.

Maryland and Rutgers aren't exactly baseball powers... maybe being in the Big 10 might give them some hope. Heck, Indiana has given that conference hope with their recent performances.
