I don't know of any other way to turn it off. Are you just getting a whole bunch of notifications under the bell at the top of the page?

I'm not getting notifications of posts, but it's still saying that I follow every topic I post in. Such a small inconvenience I can live with.

what is the deal with the no user agreement.  is this one of those every so often things we need to agree on.

There was probably some small change made, and the site therefore wanted us to accept it again.

The adherence to the code of conduct was added to the registration process due to a continued increase in dupe accounts made because of forgotten passwords despite a rule against it and a whole thread dedicated to it. There was an option to require active accounts to agree to the code of conduct which was activated to prevent cases of board violations due to ignorance.

I don't think there as ever been an updated ToU (Terms of Use) since I joined.  Only pinned topics which rules were added which you saw only if you choose to look at the update(s).

I hope that any future changes in ToU, privacy policy, or cookie policy are treated the same as this was.

Curious what prompted the Sports Logos forum to be split into two - won’t there be a lot of crossover and duplicate topics?  A

It was done since it was getting to the point that recent news discussions were buried under dozens of "what's your favorite one-off minor league team name" and "I just noticed this about a uniform from 1967" threads.

I’d argue that if threads are being “buried”, then it’s because either interest has faded and there’s no posts so it doesn’t matter, or they were booked against HHH.

Was the intent of this to re-set your 'read thread' settings? If I go into any of these now, it sends me way back into the past, prior to things I have already read

It's where I sit.

I assume it's because the 'news' forum kept the same ID as the old thread, while the 'other' forum is brand new so it's like the topics are new.

For the record, I don't like that we're now making a distinction between News and General Discussion. Most of the posts in the News topics would qualify as general discussion. If we had a vote, I would say recombine the two forums.

Also, if there is already a topic for this, please point me in the right direction so I can make my opinion known there.

I agree, if you go to the second page of the News board half of the most recent posts are from June, May, or April. And the most popular threads are the season discussion threads, as they always have been.

IMO there is no good reason why we need two separate boards for Sports Logo discussion.

I honestly forget the general discussion forum even exists, and have probably missed some discussions there.  I peek in every now and then when I remember about it, but my assumption is that the same types of things will just get posted in News, or not at all.

I went on a vacation for a week and they totally remodeled the place.

I vote for recombining them.

Maybe I need to post this in the News forum, otherwise it won't get the views.
