So, a week after a fraternity of theirs allegedly did a racist chant, Georgia Tech's running up the score on an HBCU (Alcorn State, to be exact).

I guess the Old South is far from dead...

Wow a top tier ACC team blew out an FCS opponent, what a shocker.
It's not the blowing out part that bothers me...it's the running up the score part.

Georgia Tech led 48-0 at halftime...

1. Do you propose Georgia Tech start passing? Because that's the other option.

2. Alcorn probably can pay its annual athletic department budget after this. I thought you liked people having teams Burmeister.

The $350,000 wasn't worth the embarrassment frfr.

It is if you want to keep playing at Division I.

As anyone who played high school-level football or higher will tell you....you're coached to play as hard as you can, no matter what the size of the blowout is, for the entire first half as well as the first offensive and defensive series in the 3rd quarter. Logic says that Team B can score just as many points in the second half as Team A did in the first half.

What the actual :censored:? C'mon, now.

Georgia Tech literally ran the ball the entire game, what else are they supposed to do? Not try? That's even more embarrassing.

GT not only ran the ball from the 2nd Quarter on, it was straight up the middle. (which they also did in the Orange Bowl, but that's not the point) Alcorn isn't exactly a HBCU power either, BTW. It's practically the first step up from taking a knee every play. You're just looking for something to get mad at.

I know it may hurt FCS schools but no FBS power 5 team should schedule an FCS team. I understand that the P5 teams have lost to FCS teams before but still it should not be allowed.

Note: sorry for all of the acronym usage

I couldn't agree more. This year is a little different with them playing VT in week 1, but tOSU is usually one of the worst offenders when it comes to cakewalk schedules. Their 2013 schedule in particular was an absolute joke. It was actually kind of insulting that they got the Orange Bowl bid.

Boise State is such a contrived joke. Let's start with the blue field.

That game yesterday was one of their lesser performances, but what was such a joke about last year's team? They beat a top ranked P5 team in the Fiesta Bowl like they have done before and won 12 games. Their program is no joke.

Boise State Texas is such a contrived joke. Let's start with the blue field base incompetence.

Fixed that for you. You also owe Steve Patterson $100 for reading this post and $200 for using the Longhorn logo as your avatar.
