bosrs1
So what are the odds that the NCAA follows the NFL's lead and extends the distance for extra points?
HedleyLamarr
Doubtful. College kickers, as a whole, are no sure thing.
Drew22
I'm sure his NFL aspirations were the deciding factors here yes? To go to a program where the latest #1 pick played, with several prime games scheduled, & a capable coaching staff.Yes, and I have a feeling SEC teams weren't going to be able to get the waiver to get him past the academic suspension he got two seasons ago. Geoff
We've known this was going to happen for months (hell, he was even on campus watching spring practice and studying the playbook) but now it's finally official. HedleyLamarr
That's not a bad idea, really. The logic is you don't want to excite the crowd in a way where it causes those to toss things onto the playing surface and put both teams' and the officials at risk of injury. Or, if someone goes further, putting matters into their own hands. These are venues filled with beered-up college kids. It's not to stop showing replays...it's to stop showing those close calls over-and-over-and-over-and-over-and-over to incite the crowd, especially if said play isn't subject to being overturned via video. alxy8s
What's "too much," though? The people in the stadium should get to see everything the officials are viewing during the official review. So is anything after that too much?I've only been to Georgia's stadium, but IIRC, they only show replays if they're in Georgia's favor and then not at all after the call/review has been finalized. Seems fine to me.

nuordr
People always give me grief because Kentucky football generally sucks and they say you should leave the SEC, well here is why we will never leave the SEC: The Southeastern Conference made a $& load of money last year. The leagues revenue was $455.8 million and each school will receive a whopping $31.2 million payout. For a closer perspective, the wittle ol' Big Ten distributed on $338.9 million in 2013-14,

MJWalker45
I'm willing to bet the Big Ten's new contract will match the SEC's. They have 3 more teams yhan when they started BTN, so that will play a part. Especially if Rutgers' football and Olympic sports take off.
