Meanwhile, on the NFL front......

Oakland pitched their Hail Mary plan to the Raiders/NFL over the last couple days.  Roger Goodell, as any quality defensive back is taught to do, knocks the ball down.

Monday is the day when owners are expected to vote on the relocation of the Raiders to Las Vegas, with a projected 27 teams already expected to vote in favor of the move.

They have bowls in Vegas.

How sad. And Oakland's going to lose the Warriors too. Likely the A's within a decade. And all they get in return is tech-based gentrification.

Lol, and now it looks like the Raiders are about to squeeze another few hundred million out of the state to put the public debt for this project at a cool billion dollars.

Seriously, :censored: so many things about this.

The Bay Area is an absolute shell of what it used to be only 10-15 years ago (At least culturally). I always said that I eventually wanted to make my way back there and settle down but there's absolutely no way I'd ever do that now. And the worst part is it's starting to make it's way further and further east and now even Sacramento is becoming impossible to afford. It's to the point where I'm wondering if I'll even be able to stay in the state as the years move forward.

American sports leagues found the one municipality still dumb enough to publicly fund sports venues.

I'm going to be pissed when the NBA leapfrogs Seattle for likely another new basketball-only arena in Vegas. At this point, it's worth trying to make happen.

The NBA will definitely venture into Las Vegas. Unfortunately, you are probably right about Seattle getting leapfrogged in favor of Sin City.

That's why I moved to the suburbs of Portland years ago.

If there's anything good to come from this, it's that the Raiders moving to Vegas is basically an instant death knell for the Color Knights, before they even play their first game!

Looking forward to when Bettman announces the double relocation of the Coyotes & Knights. Oh wait it's the NHL, so probably not. Love how some of the news outlets are discussing how the Raiders are the first major pro sports team coming to Vegas totally ignoring or forgetting about the Golden Knights.
