The Raiders are confirmed to have one home game internationally as of yesterday, so that wittles to 7 games looking for a location

Will that be the Mexico City game or would you think they'd be one of the London games? I think London makes more sense as far as exposure in Europe but they'd all but guarantee a sellout in Mexico City, especially with this year's debacle.

If the Raiders can't play in the Coliseum next year, I think they're best option is bunking with the 49ers.

However, if they did that I wouldn't be surprised if they played there for 4-6 games and then play in Mexico City and London as well. They could even play back-to-back weeks in London if needs be?

And, why not play one game in Vegas? Either at the Speedway or Sam Boyd?

with no games vs San Francisco this would make sense. I think San Jose State may play one game there next season but they didn't bother even changing the field except for college markings last year so why not have two NFL teams share next year? It's not like the Giants and Jets don't already do that and the Rams and Chargers are expected to do that in two years as well.

Hard to say, there are 3 California teams to play home international games next year (Rams, Raiders, Chargers) so the mexico game could feasibly be any of them.

I could see the Raiders playing in both London and Mexico City. But, I really wouldn't be surprised if they didn't play two home games in London. Not only that, but I think a game at San Jose State works too, especially a non-division team like the Titans or Lions that have a fan base that wouldn't travel well.

Regardless, it will be interesting to follow this saga the next couple of weeks and months.

Wait wait wait, did someone just mention RENO as a possible host for the Raiders next year? Reno. As in Reno, Nevada. They might as well just play their games in my shower if that’s the case. That makes about as much logical sense as playing NFL games in Reno.

The Reno Raiders. FOH with that :censored: 😂

Not sure anyone is taking it seriously. The Vegas odds have come out and the +120 favorite is Oakland despite the suit. With +250 San Diego the runner up.

Oh yeah, and I would suspect that to be the case. And I don’t mean to shoot the messenger who posted that. I just mean FOH to the idea of Reno hosting NFL games even being in existence. It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard sports wise.

Giants did a year in the Yale Bowl during the 70s.

My understanding is that the Chargers are turbo-dead to the average San Diegan.  Like "The Rams are actually making decent inroads into the market" dead.

Pretty much. The next local I meet still rooting for the Chargers will be the first. Everyone I know told them to take a hike after they relocated to Carson. And the fact they're actually fielding a winning team in only their second year up there isn't helping any. Everyone I know has moved on and found new teams to root for (Seattle, Rams and San Francisco among the most common). Or simply given up on the NFL.

AT&T is a really quirky layout for football that is cool for individual bowl games (I’m still upset the Bay Area bowl moved away from ATT Park). I can’t imagine that being anything short of totally annoying for a full season. The SF Demons of the XFL did it, but that whole thing was one giant quirk, anyway.

I dunno, there are worse options out there. Transportation to/from games should work just fine and It’ll definitely be the prettiest view any NFL team has, that’s for sure.

They’ll never do it, but I almost wish they would change their name to the SF/Oakland Raiders or even the Bay Area Raiders for that season just for fun.

Someone pointed out to me how weird it’ll be to have the Oakland Raiders playing in San Francisco and the San Francisco 49ers playing in Santa Clara. Bay Area football is dumb and they should’ve just given up on it entirely.

One huge difference though. Bristol is a huge stadium in layout due to the 1/2 mi track. Vegas is not being one of the 1.5 mi cookie cutters.

Another difference is that Bristol is hosting regional teams with strong fan support.
