The idea was to have this done by the NFL's Annual Meeting, which runs from March 24-27. The Coliseum Board's monthly General Meeting is on Friday, March 15. Even if approved there, both the Oakland City Council and Alameda County Board of Supervisors need to approve the terms. Oakland City Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday and Alameda County Board of Supervisors meet every Tuesday, but cancel meetings if there is nothing to discuss.

They should just take a one year hiatus at this point like when the mexican league baseball teams can't line up sponsors or stadium rent on time so they just take off a season. dfwabel
Agenda for Friday's Coliseum Commission has one new item: Quote 6. NEW BUSINESS 6a. RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENT NO. 7 TO THE MASTER AGREEMENT AND EXHIBITS TO THE MASTER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE OAKLAND RAIDERS AND THE OAKLAND ALAMEDA COUNTY COLISEUM AUTHORITY AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT FOR A PARKING REVENUE DISPUTE BETWEEN THE OAKLAND RAIDERS AND THE OAKLAND ALAMEDA COUNTY COLISEUM AUTHORITY The issue which snagged negotiations was over the Alameda team offices/practice facility which was deeded over to the team, but the Raiders want the Commission to take the property back. masterchaoss
So what happens with this if Spanos dosen't pony up? Is he gonna be stripped of the team or are they going to be forced to play at the soccer stadium forever? I can't imagine the NFL is gonna let them leave LA at this point given they want to keep two teams here and I don't think there is a place they can go that has a NFL quality stadium that isn't already occupied. 1 Quote Kershaw is GOD!
