The Pelicans just tried to run out the game :20-22 at a time when having the ball. They played like a college team.Who was coach? I though if the Warriors got it to OT and started hitting 3's they were going to steal this game, and they did hit threes Curry and Barnes. Then they did something that sometimes gets overlooked - Made their free throws. Anyone know why the "Playoffs" logo isn't on the courts this year? I haven't heard anything regarding the removal of the logos anywhere. Other than the Playoffs logo on the padding of each basketball goal, at first glance you wouldn't know its a playoff game. I wonder if some sort of logo will be added for the Conference Finals?I actually didn't notice until you mentioned it. But I found a thread discussing it. I heard it wasn't even a Golden State gifted game, refs were calling virtually everything against them. New Orleans played probably the perfect game for the first 3 quarters and Golden State was pretty flat for the majority of the game. The Pelicans defended well, and Ryan Anderson was absolutely on fire tonight. I don't see that happening again this series and them taking a game at this point doesn't seem likely. This one is probably over in 4.And I wouldn't say EVERYTHING was getting called against Golden State in this game either, but they definitely were under a microscope late in the game. It was pretty much typical NBA playoff officiating. Get super ticky tack on calls late in games to keep the momentum in one direction or another. It was nonsense but it's not a problem that's exclusive to the Warriors by any means. It happens to everyone so at least that part of it is consistent. That kind of thing should not be allowed.I actually kinda like that.To me, defensive fouls should be called as a means to restore the scoring/offensive opportunity. If a guy does get hacked in the act of shooting and the shot still goes in, I'm all for swallowing the whistle and maintaining some flow to the game. I have a problem with treating crowds like schoolchildren. I think it looks weird, and it looks weirder still when all of the teams do it. Telling people to wear all blue is one thing; leaving t-shirts on the seats feels too manufactured for me.I don't have a comment on hockey teams doing something similar because I don't watch hockey. EDIT: The Spurs don't mess around with t-shirt night (or haven't yet to my knowledge), and they just punched the Clips in the face. The Spurs are so annoyingly perfectly perfect- the rich seemingly forever getting richer. Seriously, in the last 20 years, the ONLY mistake they've ever made was Richard Jefferson.
