Agreed, dfwabel. Blow a 20 pt. 4th quarter lead? Take back the job that Monty saved with his Spurs final game win-- can his ass!

Oh, and Steph "Chewin' my Mouthguard" Curry just locked up the MVP tonight.

It is what it is.

The GSW offensive rebounding was unreal. The Pelicans just tried to run out the game :20-22 at a time when having the ball. They played like a college team.

Who was coach? Tony Bennett or Monte Williams?

EDIT: Monte has Randy Ayres as his top assistant and his a$$ couldn't close out games at Ohio State 20 years ago.

I think the Pelicans slept through a lot of the fourth, but woke back up in OT, but the Warriors were already awake. I though if the Warriors got it to OT and started hitting 3's they were going to steal this game, and they did hit threes Curry and Barnes. Then they did something that sometimes gets overlooked - Made their free throws.

Anyone know why the "Playoffs" logo isn't on the courts this year? I haven't heard anything regarding the removal of the logos anywhere. Other than the Playoffs logo on the padding of each basketball goal, at first glance you wouldn't know its a playoff game. I wonder if some sort of logo will be added for the Conference Finals?

I actually didn't notice until you mentioned it. But I found a thread discussing it.

Could only listen to commentary of the game on radio in the car i.e. talking heads not play by play.

Curry is probably the best player on the planet right now. I heard it wasn't even a Golden State gifted game, refs were calling virtually everything against them. Davis should trim his brow to see the goal from the line.

LeBron is still the best player.

Steph Curry is "Everyman". (And he was still a foot taller than Tracy Wolfson, so those she interviews in the SEC are just his height or shorter).

This Warriors team, man. Even down 20 going into the 4th I had a feeling they could still seal the game back. New Orleans played probably the perfect game for the first 3 quarters and Golden State was pretty flat for the majority of the game. The Pelicans defended well, and Ryan Anderson was absolutely on fire tonight. I don't see that happening again this series and them taking a game at this point doesn't seem likely. This one is probably over in 4.

And I wouldn't say EVERYTHING was getting called against Golden State in this game either, but they definitely were under a microscope late in the game. It was pretty much typical NBA playoff officiating. Get super ticky tack on calls late in games to keep the momentum in one direction or another. It was nonsense but it's not a problem that's exclusive to the Warriors by any means. It happens to everyone so at least that part of it is consistent.

Some Warriors people were saying a foul should have been called on Curry's 3 to tie it at the end of regulation. There was an awful lot of contact, but he made it anyway. A beat writer tweeted out, "According to a couple sources, the explanation the Warriors received was that Curry would’ve gotten the foul if he had missed the 3." That kind of thing should not be allowed.

Great 3 games last night. The evenness of Cavs/Celts has been strange (almost as strange as it feels to be rooting for Boston).

I actually kinda like that.

To me, defensive fouls should be called as a means to restore the scoring/offensive opportunity. If a guy does get hacked in the act of shooting and the shot still goes in, I'm all for swallowing the whistle and maintaining some flow to the game. Yeah, it'll basically eliminate the "And 1!" free throw, but I'll take that trade-off in order for the game to have fewer stoppages.

The t-shirt thing is really dorky. I'd like for teams to stop doing it.

It was cool when Winnipeg did it this week, but different sports, different expectations. NBA fans should sit politely in nice clothes and appreciate everyone's transcendent athletic superiority no matter which team they're on.

Is that asking so much?

I'll never fully understand why enthusiasm is encouraged everywhere else but frowned upon in the NBA.

I don't have a problem with enthusiasm. I have a problem with treating crowds like schoolchildren. I think it looks weird, and it looks weirder still when all of the teams do it. Telling people to wear all blue is one thing; leaving t-shirts on the seats feels too manufactured for me.

I don't have a comment on hockey teams doing something similar because I don't watch hockey.

EDIT: The Spurs don't mess around with t-shirt night (or haven't yet to my knowledge), and they just punched the Clips in the face. I bet Pop wouldn't allow.

I agree with that, but it leads to kind of a chicken/egg dilemma where perhaps fans have to be shepherded into creating an atmosphere because they'd been taught that too much organic excitement is improper.

Spurs fans are the most spoiled in basketball, if not all of American sports.

They have it so easy. They never have to panic or worry. Even when they hit a skid, they always have an attitude that says, 'No sweat. We'll be fine.'

Seriously, Richard Jefferson in 2009 might be the ONLY mistake they've made in the last 20 years. Seriously.

The AT&T Center is where so many Western conference dreams go to die- the Clippers are on the verge of being added to that list.

The Spurs are so annoyingly perfectly perfect- the rich seemingly forever getting richer.

Seriously, in the last 20 years, the ONLY mistake they've ever made was Richard Jefferson.
