JasonFromMiami
Hope they don´t change the basketball unis, they are iconic with the argyle pattern
TGroce
The basketball program has been using a more narrow, vertical interlocking "NC" logo for a few years now. The only change I'd anticipate would be the team using whatever is determined to be the now-standard version of the "NC," assuming it's different from the one they're already using. kg54mvp1
Didn't they just get new football uniforms?
TGroce
Yeah, 2 years ago. They were never popular with the traditionalists. I think these could be a big hit with everyone.
kg54mvp1
Gotcha! Wow does time fly. They did seem a bit too "out there" for such a classic school.
frosty06306
The argyle may be the most overrated, pretentious element of any uniform in the history of athletics. Truly amazing that people love it.
TGroce
Ah, I mean it's an aesthetically unique & classic pattern, I can see how lots of people could find it appealing.

TGroce
Ha, fair enough. If he just dislikes argyle as a pattern, that's one thing. But if he hates it solely because it's synonymous with North Carolina, then, in my opinion, that's exactly why they should use it as much as possible. aawagner011
This is a total win. Great, classic color balance and they've integrated the argyle into the helmet stripe, collar, and pants! One of the best upgrades in college in a while. Love it. Looks like a new custom font and wordmark, which also carries over to basketball. I can even get down with the black set, because the color is balanced and it's still a classic look.

aawagner011
It does look like the helmet stripe is absent in all Nike promo materials, but has shown up in all UNC released pictures...similar to the FSU gold facemask. Great decision by UNC.

JuicedSportsNow
This might be the first universally beloved uni change on these boards in a while. The football unis and helmets are fantastic and the argyle pattern is something they can own and use as an identifier across all sports. Superb
