Last week I made a concept updating the current Cleveland Indians uniforms by tweaking a few things and I wasn't really satisfied, so I started updating everything on a new template that is used on the team's wikipedia page. I'll give a hat to cleats description and explain each uniform with a few notes to point out as well. Also to point out, the patch on the right sleeve is the Al Rosen #7 memorial patch the team is wearing for this season.Home Uniform:Hat: Blue hat with the chief wahoo logo and red billUndershirt: Red undershirtJersey: White jersey with red piping, Indians going across with red lettering and a blue trim, Chief Wahoo on the left sleeve.Pants/Belt: White pants with red and blue piping down the side with a red beltSocks/Cleats: Red socks and red cleatsNotes: Heavily favors the design of the uniforms worn from 1994-2001. Worn for Sunday night games instead of Sunday alternate.Away Uniform:Hat: All blue hat with block C logoUndershirt: Blue undershirtJersey: Grey jersey with blue piping, Cleveland going across with blue lettering and a red trim, Chief Wahoo on the left sleeve.Pants/Belt: Grey pants with blue and red piping down the side with a blue beltSocks/Cleats:Blue socks and black cleatsNotes: No changes made to the entire uniform except the addition of the blue piping going down the jersey and the red stripe going down the side of the pants next to the blue stripe.Alternate 1 Home Uniform:Hat: blue hat with red bill and block C logoUndershirt: Blue undershirtJersey: Cream jersey with blue piping, Indians going across in blue lettering and a red trim, Chief Wahoo on the left sleeve.Pants/Belt: Cream pants with blue and red piping down the side with a red beltSocks/Cleats: Red socks and Red cleatsNotes: Only worn for Saturday and Sunday afternoon home games. I honestly as a fan, this set looks 10x better than the current sets the Tribe wears now and have always been a fan of the red dominating the home uniform as dominant blue has been an overkill with every team. BigRed618 Posted May 25, 2015 Share Posted May 25, 2015 I'd like to see the block C on the home hats. Not that I'm against the use of Chief Wahoo, but I always thought that C makes a better cap logo. I love how you re-incorporated red piping and trim as well as red socks into the home white jerseys, something that I wish the Indians never would have gotten rid of. The blue piping on the road grays is a nice touch too. The cream alternates look WAY better with the old-school style hats with red bills on them! The "Indians" script on the road gray jersey looks good but I wish they would have kept the word "Cleveland" in the same type of cursive font, as I think it matches better and is a more consistent look. The blue alternates look really good too and the red piping really makes the lettering standout well. I don't care for the red alternates though. Seems a little too loud for my taste. Finally, I love how you went back with the "Indians" lettering on the BP jerseys as opposed to the plain old letter "C" that they have now. The block "C" is a great old fashioned look that looks great on the hats, but to me it just doesn't translate as well when blown up onto a jersey. Great stuff overall! I have my own concept for the Tribe and eventually I'll get around to posting it when I get to the AL jerseys on my MLB Uniform Adjustments and Concepts page. (Shameless self promotion.)
