After having come out of a long, long creative slump with my hand drawn NBA logo series, I thought I would come back to what I have always enjoyed doing here: minor league football concepts.

This time around, this would be a 32 team league with many teams from the WLAF, USFL, and WFL, along with a dozen or so fictional squads.

For the first team in this series, I present to you the fictional Vancouver Orcas...

I didn't like the logos on the front of the jerseys in real life, but I have to admit, seeing your Galaxy concept makes me miss NFL-Europe.

As for what to do next: I say finish up the Northwest Division. I'm dying to see what the Portland Platypus look like.

Black, teal and orange is a really bizarre color combo, and the platypus is a really bizarre animal. So that's basically perfect. I love the helmet logo, too.

I would have expected a crazier uniform, especially with their proximity to Nike. I like the simple look more, but I was thinking that they were destined for a Seahawks\Bucs\Oregon sort of thing.

It's kind of a weird goofy name for a sports team, but I like it for the the stereotype I at least have for Portland, the hipster trendy place of the north.(hipster=try to be unique, platyplus=definitely unique sports name) The colors fit this too aqua is always a good one. I've tried doing wordmarks on jerseys handrawn so I get they're really difficult to do, will you be doing wordmarks on any of yours?
