neo_prankster
Now I am stumped as to which direction to take the Utah franchise to complete the Northwest. No color scheme yet, but here are some names I am thinking of...- Salt Lake Locomotives- Utah Stags- Salt Lake Pioneers- Utah RaptorsAs for the potential Austin franchise...- Bats- Desperados- MarshalsFor Los Angeles, they will be called the Avengers, after the old Arena League team of course, but I want to do something different with them, but I don't have a color scheme for them either.Las Vegas will definitely be the Vipers, but as of today, I don't have a color scheme for those guys yet.I plan to have Memphis be the Pharaohs, but I can't decide if I want them to be black and gold or blue and gold. neo_prankster
Moving along on this series, I present the Orlando Thunder, still remembered for their notorious neon green uniforms... The Fictional Story of Austus
SSmith48
The Thunder look ok, but I was expecting something a bit more modern. For the Salt Lake team, you could do something based on the Bonneville Salt Flats, but if you don't want to do that, I would say the Pioneers would work best. Veras
I like the lime and navy on the Thunder, as well as how the lightning bolt wraps around the helmet. History of a Fictional Football League (1989) Thread - Logos - Uniforms - History

neo_prankster
Up next, the Breakers of the USFL.For this concept, they will be based in their original home in Boston. As a bonus, I have added a "24 Hour" prototype helmet a la the 1991 49ers fiasco, mostly because I botched the color placement on the wave logo. I made up for it by adding the classic white Breakers helmet just above it. The Fictional Story of Austus

neo_prankster
Here are the lowly Raleigh-Durham SkyhawksI've always wondered if the 76 Bucs or the 2008 Lions could have beaten the 1991 Skyhawks. rykochristie
I'm gonna go out on a limb but I say Bucs win, but Lions do not. This concept is very clean and the numbers are very well executed. Nice job! Fear the future, envy the past
Veras
I like the look. It's hard to have a well-executed red and green team, but this definitely pulls it off. I will say that I think you should try mixing up your designs a bit more. It seems like you've kind of fallen into a rut, where every team has numbers on the shoulders and a logo on the sleeve. Don't get me wrong, it looks good for each team individually, but when you take the whole league together, everybody is going to look the same.As for the 76 Bucs, 08 Lions, and 91 Skyhawks; I'm inclined to lean the opposite direction. The Lions could probably beat the Skyhawks, and either team would absolutely obliterate the 76 Bucs. Players have just gotten so much bigger, stronger, and faster as time has gone on that I don't think it would be a fair matchup. In fact, with the average offensive lineman outweighing the average defensive lineman by more than 50 pounds, I would go so far as to say that the 2008 Lions could compete for a playoff spot in 1976. I'm not sure how a USFL team matched up against an NFL team, so I'm less confident on that one. neo_prankster
Here are the Michigan Panthers, USFL champs of 1983.The problem I had with this concept was trying to recreate the champagne silver the team wore. I feel I didn't do that great with it. The secondary logo on the sleeves was supposed to have the claw marks form an "M" for Michigan, but in the end, it looked better horizontally. mkg74
doesnt look right, the plum needs to be darker, the champaign silver lighter. The claw marks are pretty cool
Veras
I really like that you can see the claws at the beginning of the claw marks. That being said, I'd say the same thing about this that I said about the last one. This is basically the same design as most of your other uniforms: you have TV numbers on the shoulders and a mark on the sleeve, the only differences are the colors and what the mark is. Maybe mix it up by putting the claw marks somewhere else, possibly down the side or having them come across the chest over the numbers.
