neo_prankster 1,712 Posted June 25, 2015 After having come out of a long, long creative slump with my hand drawn NBA logo series, I thought I would come back to what I have always enjoyed doing here: minor league football concepts. This time around, this would be a 32 team league with many teams from the WLAF, USFL, and WFL, along with a dozen or so fictional squads. For the first team in this series, I present to you the fictional Vancouver Orcas...C&C Welcome

Philsphan 8 Posted June 25, 2015 That's a nice start (for what looks like a large league). I like the sleek striping and the numbers were executed nicely. It could be a little further away from the Carolina Panthers. But I'm looking forward to this series!
jaker52 112 Posted June 25, 2015 meh. I see Carolina Panthers+ Bucs font with a killer whale

1insaneguy 81 Posted June 29, 2015 These are cool although I like the fact that the Orcas look like the Panthers.

Philsphan 8 Posted July 2, 2015 I like the new cleaner versions of the old NFL Europe teams. And great redesign of the Orcas. The light blue helmet looks great!
neo_prankster 1,712 Posted July 2, 2015 Here come the London Monarchs...Which team do you guys think I should do next?
Veras 834 Posted July 3, 2015 I didn't like the logos on the front of the jerseys in real life, but I have to admit, seeing your Galaxy concept makes me miss NFL-Europe.As for what to do next: I say finish up the Northwest Division. I'm dying to see what the Portland Platypus look like.
Elmos World 17 40 Posted July 3, 2015 I would only like a couple euro teams to have the throwback, and only the home

neo_prankster 1,712 Posted July 15, 2015 After a bit of a hiatus due to having an awesome time at Comic Con, I give you the Portland Platypus...
Veras 834 Posted July 16, 2015 Black, teal and orange is a really bizarre color combo, and the platypus is a really bizarre animal. So that's basically perfect. I love the helmet logo, too.I would have expected a crazier uniform, especially with their proximity to Nike. I like the simple look more, but I was thinking that they were destined for a Seahawks\Bucs\Oregon sort of thing.
sleuthpanther 316 Posted July 16, 2015 It's kind of a weird goofy name for a sports team, but I like it for the the stereotype I at least have for Portland, the hipster trendy place of the north.(hipster=try to be unique, platyplus=definitely unique sports name) The colors fit this too aqua is always a good one. I've tried doing wordmarks on jerseys handrawn so I get they're really difficult to do, will you be doing wordmarks on any of yours?
Veras 834 Posted July 16, 2015 With the nickname he was going for a cross between Oregon ducks and Oregon state beavers.
