WHOA! All the way leading up to clicking on the link you shared and reading the article, I thought you were just confused, but this is actually happening. Awesome imo. Looks like I'll have to switch the swoosh in my signature though for the same sort of pic with the Jumpman.

"The pictures looked good on the computer," Will Brown explained

Surprised North Carolina wasn't the CFB program to go with Jordan Brand. Michigan has far greater prestige than UNC though, so it makes a little sense.

This is a bold move. I agree that Jordan should stick with what they are good at -- basketball.

Recruits may eat this up though. Especially if their gear is all Jordan brand. I mean they'd be getting team-issued Jordans, right?

With Jordan being a Nike brand, will they used the Mach Speed cut or will it be something completely new?

Good question.

They would be getting Jordans with the cleat spikes on the sole, I'm assuming, like the ones Dez Bryant has and such, and like these:

Damn. Those are some beautiful cleats.

I'm wondering if they'll also get custom team-issued Jordans like Oregon has gotten.

Jordan Brand has gone beyond hoops for well over a decade. Earliest I remember non-basketball players being associated with Jordan was in 1999 with the commercial for the Air Jordan 15s. The commercial featured Roy Jones Jr, Randy Moss & Derek Jeter. I definitely remember football cleat versions of the black Jordan 11s coming out my senior year of HS (2002 fall season). Pretty sure Randy Moss had some jumpan gloves at one point as well.

Was only a matter of time until Jordan brand crossed over into the uniforms of other sports.

Denny Hamlin from the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series has had a Jordan Brand (although to be fair it's just an Impact! Racing suit with those logos removed and the Jordan Brand ones on it.) Firesuit for close to two years now. Strangely enough, Nike did go through a phase where they did make Nike Racing suits and driving shoes for a few drivers (Most notably Kyle Petty), but Denny rocks Alpinestars driving shoes.

That doesn't make it any less dumb.
