For example, the Red Jersey-White Pants look has been at Nebraska for decades, but they also used to wear brown leather helmets like all of football. So technically, it's a different helmet, and thus, a different uniform.But football has player equipment as part of the uniform, where baseball and basketball don't (at least not to the degree of helmets having team colors decals, etc). Hockey gets closer, but goalie masks are probably exempt, I'm guessing, due to their uniqueness.So it makes things a bit fuzzy. I'm fairly sure a number of colleges (Penn State, Alabama, etc) have had the same basic LOOK longer perhaps than the Yankees, but because of technology and helmets, etc, it's not precisely the same uniform, if that makes any sense. 5th in NAT.
