jaker52
Had to pause my series to work on a logo for my new IBL team. I have always done terrible with animal logos but I did my best using google images, a sketchbook, and Illustrator and got this. I'm pretty happy with it, but what do y'all think? dsaline97
I think it could use a highlight in the eye, much like the Blue Jays logo in your sig, right now it looks "innocent" in a way. The font choice is poor, the Brush Script never looks good in sports, but I was pleasantly surprised by the logo.
jaker52
I updated the eye and went another way with the font. MUNCHEN LOWEN (WAFA) GULF SHORES OSPREYS (IBL)
sportsherald
Using the head in isolation may be too limiting to convey that this bird is an Osprey, as opposed to an Eagle, Blue Jay, Parrot, etc. The real osprey's eye is circular, and I think this design's beak is a little too thick. As you've been doing, using images of real ospreys should help you refine this. Use the rules of heraldry for more effective sports logos! i.e. keep it simple, use good contrast... wquarton
Definitely has potential, and I'm not saying I could do better - animals are hard, but It still looks a little funky to me. I feel like the eye and beak are too far up the head. I don't know, I guess it depends what angle you're going for.
