Way to make a good look betterI wanted to keep the stripes on the jersey, the helmet, and the pants the same, or at least similar, size. While it is unusual to see the 49ers have no 3 stripe pattern, this is nicely executed.I think Nike completely ruined the traditional 3 stripe that the 49ers have worn for a while most likely because of their rivalry with Adidas they didn't want to cause any confusion or possibly promote adidas with the 3 stripes, which is understandable. Ice Man Posted September 23, 2015 Share Posted September 23, 2015 ^ that's a good conspiracy theory but not correct at all.These current 49ers jerseys w/ the botched faux cut off striping were already around before Nike took over the NFL uniforms in 2012 and thus was not a Nike thing but a 49ers thing the team went with when Reebok was still in charge of NFL uniforms. Midway Posted October 22, 2015 Share Posted October 22, 2015 I think there were some rumblings that they wanted the stripes to be parallel to the ground when the players were in motion or something stupid like that.
