Man...If you thought the missing pinstripes on the side panels of the new Flexbase jerseys looks bad, check out the rear view. Horrendous.

Yeah, but that will always be tucked in during play, no?

Is that red alt an actual new alt, or just the Spring Training jersey worn as an alt?  Either way, that was one of my favorite looks from the bunch, and I'm glad to see it getting some regular season love.

The jerseys are to be tucked in, but they come untucked at times. Or sometimes guys like their jerseys smaller so the blank patch might show more. On the field, it's not nearly as bad as the blank side panels.

However, when it comes to fan gear, the blank butt is much, much worse than the side panels. This is an incredibly dumb decision by baseball unless they don't want fans to buy authentic jerseys anymore. I'm not a huge jersey guy (I only ever wear them to games), But I would never buy a pinstriped one of those jerseys. You'd look like a fool; like some dope wearing a nightshirt underneath his jersey. And before any of you doofs chime in with "Hur dur, all grown men look like fools wearing jerseys," kindly blow it out your asses.

I feel like it's pretty obvious across the board that all teams will have their spring jerseys (and caps too) available as an in season alternate, Minnesota Houston Milwaukee Arizona and Philadelphia just went ahead and announced it up front. Of course not all will choose to wear it but it's there.

That was my biggest fear about these new jerseys. Might not look terrible in-game (Besides the side panels), but that's going to look terrible as fan apparel.

Glad I got to stock up on some old-style authentics before this monstrosity happened.

I never buy authentic jerseys... for the price difference a replica does the trick fine and I don't need to prove to anyone that I have an authentic one... But I can't see very many people who actually buy authentic jerseys to actually wear, buying these. Sales are gonna drop with that stupidity.

MLB.com has the two Brewers BP caps from last year but with this year's league emblems embroidered on the sides... what does this mean? Will Milwaukee have three spring training caps available along with the navy and yellow one revealed last week?

Or are these still just the BP caps for the regular season and thus we've just confirmed that BP caps will now have the league logos on them as well?

I buy authentic to wear because I cant stand missing patches.

That said, between that and a pinstriped mess, congrats. You sold me on replicas. Glad none of my teams wear pinstripes

Woah, I haven't yet seen those. I bet they take last year's BP caps and just slap the league logo on them.

New Era is doing some really strange things with DEs this year. They were supposed to be on sale at each team's stadium store starting this morning, yet neither AT&T Park in San Francisco or the Coliseum in Oakland even had any idea they were getting new caps this year. That's not totally surprising from stadium employees, but vendors usually make suppliers aware of these types of switches MONTHS in advance. It seems strange to me that managers at both Giants Dugout Stores (At the stadium and in Walnut Creek) and the manager of the A's stadium store were both completely unaware of this change.

Long time baseball fan- just joined the forum.  I saw the same information that the Yankees will be switching to Awesome Base or whatever the new fabric is called.  I hope that turns out to be incorrect.  I think all teams should have a double-knit option but especially the Yankees.

From what I've read, the existing BP caps aren't going anywhere. The new caps are spring training specific caps. The BP caps from last year will remain the BP caps this year, they'll just have the league branding on the right side.

I like the addition of the NL and AL logos to the caps. They are subtle and don't get much exposure around MLB despite being solid logos (IMO).

The A's store did know though?  They had a blow out sale on last years BP hat for Black Friday. When asked why only that hat. They said next year BP hat would be all green with elephant. Losing yellow bill. I posted about it many pages back.

While some teams look to be keeping last year's BP caps along with the Spring caps (which can then also be worn during the season as an alternate but without the Spring patch), I think some teams might be abandoning their BP caps and just using the Spring caps (without the state patch) as the BP cap.
