rxmc89 Posted February 7, 2016 Share Posted February 7, 2016 I was in a store the other day and I saw a bunch of Dodgers road jerseys (the one that says Dodgers) but they had blue piping on the sleeves. Was this a mistake or are they changing this year? Also, 2016 will be the 50th anniversary of Angel Stadium. Are the Angels going to wear a patch for that? VikWings Posted February 11, 2016 Share Posted February 11, 2016 I hate the gold for the Twins. It's so unnecessary. And they didn't even bother adding it to the Road and Alts (new red one excluded.) I don't like how they dropped the pinstripes either. All they needed to do was invert the red and navy in the wordmark on the old jersey and they would've had a great update. I always assumed gold wasn't added to the road uniforms because the color is so specific to Target Field. Seems logical to me, anyway, even if it makes the entire uniform package inconsistent. Better than last year but I'm still not a fan. It appears teams will be wearing the Digital Woodland Camo for Memorial Day instead of the Digital Desert Camo they have been wearing the past few years. It will still the Marine Corps pattern. mmejia Posted February 12, 2016 Share Posted February 12, 2016 I didn't understand the gold addition when released and still don't see its conceptual purpose in the vacuum of designs on generic backgrounds, but I flew to Minneapolis and saw a three game set when the Astros were there last August and thought it looked great in person and complimented the ballpark and surroundings perfectly. The Giants sort of do that with the cream jerseys and gold dropshadow on their home set, and it ties in with the park perfectly. Still though, they should've kept the pinstripes IMO. The font is pretty poor, the inconsistent color usage with the "M" in the wordmark through the rest of th text is jarring, and the white wordmark on the gray jersey sucks.
