If we get both teams in blue alts for either game in Cleveland, I'm going to flip.

And if the Cubs break the longest and most infamous drought in all of North American sports wearing those blue tops, it'll make the Cavs wearing black sleeved alts in Game 7 look positively good.

Really? At least the Cubs have had the blues in their rotation for a while. And the jerseys are In team colors, and they still look like the Cubs. Those black Cavs jerseys didn't even look like the Cavs.

Primaries are called primary for a reason. It's a disgrace for any team to win or play in alts in the postseason, let alone the World Series.

Agreed well personally I don't mind alts in postseason games but I wish there was a rule that limited how many times an alt can be worn in the playoffs

Here's a fun little read.

Watch out Colorado, they'll be coming for your flag next.

The Copy Clear infringement case is pretty legitimate. It was clear that they ripped off the shape and dimensions of the Cubs' C, and the text was placed in a very similar position to the "UBS" in the Cubs' logo.

The one about the "W" logo is completely frivolous and asinine. They're not even a similar design, and I don't think I've ever seen the Cubs' W placed in a circle. This is pretty much tantamount to the Cubs saying "we're copyrighting every sans serif capital W."

Both of the Cubs' claims seem legit to me.

The graphic in the article doesn't match what it actually says - the issue isn't about a white W in a black circle, but a sans-serif W used in conjunction with a baseball or other iconography that could remind one of the Cubs' "W" logo or otherwise cause confusion with the established Cubs' marks.

Are the Cubs wearing grey tomorrow? Lester is the only one in the photo shoot not wearing the blue alternate, and he's pitching tomorrow.

I sure hope so. I can swallow a potential grey vs. navy matchup, but royal vs. navy would be horrendous for the World Series.

I actually LOVE the Cubs blue Alta and think their grey set is about as meh as it gets. I hope they are in blue tomorrow. But, not if the Indians are in Navy.

I honestly find the Cubs' blue alt to look like a batting practice jersey, given its lack of piping or any adornments whatsoever.

A team can designate a colored jersey as a primary, but I don't think it's officially happened since the early 90's. Though the Marlins famously virtually never wore their gray jersey in the first season after their rebrand (except for maybe one or two games).

Do we know that's true?  I thought that all teams were required to have white and gray jerseys as official primaries, which is why the Marlins bothered with a gray jersey they never actually wore.

Cleveland is going with #RockRed as their social media rallying hashtag, which seems a little strange given that red is the secondary color for them.

And that red is also a secondary color for the Cubs.

Plus they don't have a red jersey - maybe they'll be wearing this cap?

The Cubs' blue road jerseys and the Astros' cream road jerseys in the 80s are the obvious examples of that being true, but that was 30 years ago.  Padres' sands kinda/sorta fall into that category too.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
