I'm not looking forward to Arizona's unveiling.I really like the current, now old, look. All it needs is some minor changes and it would be one of the top MLB looks to me.The updated wordmarks are much better in my opinion, the only positive really.In a roundabout way? Current uniforms but new wordmarks and weird texture somewhere plus a throwback third featuring only one of the old colors which seems to be turquoise? SCalderwood Posted November 26, 2015 Share Posted November 26, 2015 Hmm, maybe this won't look as bad as I think.If the sand is basically not on the jerseys, then it sounds like their jerseys are going to be primarily white, red, black, and teal. I don't think that is THAT ugly of a scheme, but it's got some bold colors, so things will have to be done pretty "tastefully" for this to end up looking decent.I guess a positive from all of this is that we will have a team incorporating a rarely-used color, which is always a good thing in MLB. And the D-backs are a perfect team to do it, since they literally have less history than almost any other team, and therefore have less tradition to break. You just can't cram that name into a jersey, no matter how hard you try. And sorry, I don't really care how the fans feel about it: when I see "D'backs" I ALWAYS think "D'bags". You shouldn't want that on your uniform.I'm almost fine with them having "ARIZONA" on both the home and road, if that's what they'd have to do.
