Was searching MLB Shop when I stumbled across this:

Did the Rockies ever wear this? Looks pretty good even if I'd make a few changes. Goes to show how quickly they could improve their unis by ditching the pinstripes and emphasizing purple.

Cheap owners content with re-patching used White Sox jerseys.

Sadly, I fear their current look will never change.

Not necessarily. Anyone who has ever seen an authentic Rockies jersey up close knows that those pinstripes have always been purple. If the Rockies used more purple at home from the start, they wouldn't have this sentiment hanging over their heads.

A vine I saw on Twitter today of Greinke in the new Diamondbacks unis. https://twitter.com/Dbacks/status/674378171869995008

Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to embed it so I just posted the link.

That set he's wearing is fantastic. I bet that's moved from alt to primary in about three games.

Anyone else ever see this concept for the Padres? It's really different from anything I've seen proposed. I have to say, I really like the burnt umber, tan and teal color scheme. That logo is pretty great, too.

This is without a doubt, the best concept I have ever seen. This thing blows the real version so far out of the water it isn't even funny. What a remarkable execution of color and design. You have an instantly recognizable logo unlike any interlocking SD logo we've ever seen and a color combination that not only screams "San Diego" but is also unique to this design alone. I *guess* you could argue that the Jacksonville Jaguars have a similar color scheme (although in a different sport on the other side of the country) but baseball has seen nothing like this.

I almost wished I had never seen this, because it's so much better than anything the Padres will come out with on their own.

It's a great concept for sure, but I don't think their current SD is unrecognizable.. I think it's pretty iconic and distinctly "padres".. Their current identity is stale and sterile and blah, even with the half@$$ed addition of yellow, but it's not because of the logo.. They need to fully embrace something --- anything at this point, I don't care, but this whole identity purgatory they are willingly inhabiting is abysmal

Brown
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article is about the color. For other uses, see Brown (disambiguation).

In Europe and the United States, it is the color most often associated with plainness, humility, the rustic, and poverty. It is also, according to public opinion surveys in Europe and the United States, the least favorite color of the public.[5]

Brown is the least-loved of colors. A survey showed that brown was the favorite color of only one percent of respondents, ranked below white and pink, and the least-favorite color of twenty-percent of people, even less popular than pink, gray and violet.[40]

This is pretty interesting. I had no idea about how unpopular the color brown was.

Still, I think the Padres could make brown work as a full time dominant color in their scheme. They'd just have to do it tastefully. It would at least be better than navy.

Yeah, the only time i think brown works, is if you combine it with red and green, like a christmas tree. Put black instead of brown and it does not look good.

So brown red and green is not half bad

It's the best shot of the new uniforms I've seen so far. Almost enough to kinda like it..........almost.

That letter "C" is trash. Awkwardly shaped and creates awkward negative space.

The more I see this I wish they just put the A on the chest of each home uniform
