If I'm not mistaken, that would be the only MLB jersey without any lettering on the front of the jersey. It could work as long as there's a navy outline around the sun burst. Hyperbole aside, that sunburst logo they have is probably the worst logo in any sport ever in the history of the universe. I mean, really, what the hell is this thing? It reminds me of birdcrap or a bug hitting the windshield of a car or something. Why is it so hard for the Rays to come up with an even halfway decent logo package? It was such an easy mascot to work with! Sting Rays, you idiots. STING Rays! That's cool as hell and about as Florida as it comes. And they had to F it up with the Devil Rays name. And muck it up even worse by going the EXACT opposite route and call it Rays of sunshine casting down upon the bay area from the heavens above. This team is really dumb. Congrats, Rays, you took a completely unique logo identity in all of pro sports and replaced it with Nike-level hyperbole. I agree with some of the others here that the sunburst just isn't a very strong logo to build your identity around. I think they moved away from the manta ray banding solely because they had nothing but losing seasons while they were the "Devil Rays."
