Wow, this was out of nowhere but I'm totally into some of this. This could be great for some and bad for others.

I don't think this will be as bad as some are thinking. At least it's only color swapping and not some entirely new goofy jersey design for 1 game...a la college football.

The puke-ish gold Jags jersey makes me want to claw my eyes out. I don't even need to see the whole thing.

Just imagine what that entire game will look like when you're also gonna have the Titans in mono columbia.

From the pictures, the Jaguars are the only ones that look potentially awful to me.

And I'll say the Bucs look the most intriguing. Their jersey may actually be an improvement.

I think this could be a good thing for the NFL. And it gives us something to talk about. I'm all for it.

My NFL concept series (in progress) --ATL, CLE, NE, WAS done. AZ updated 04/21/23.

It's not completely out of nowhere, at least the concept isn't. We've known about the NFL wanting to see color-on-color matches for TNF for a while now, being that they were suggesting it for this season, and pretty much making it mandatory for next. What we didn't know was that there would be new uniforms to go along with it, at least for this year, that is. It was assumed that there would be new uniforms to go along with these matchups, but that was just a thought.

The whole C-on-C thing was a good idea, except for certain matchups, and specifically the AFC South, where every team is a dark blue/black/teal. Only the Texans could really break up the monotony of the colors with their alternate red tops. I figured the Titans would adopt a red jersey, like the old fashion jersey from a while ago, before anything else.

As a Jaguar fan, I'm not happy with the gold. I love the teal, and it's a real shame that we only saw it once, two years ago against the Chargers. I'm really hoping it's paired with the white pants, because going all gold is puke-inducing.

Now that this is all here, my biggest concerns are that every Thursday night will feature mono-color-on-color, and teams will increasingly become collegiate, with the Jets going metallic helmet stripes and such.

Rams in Yellow vs Bucs in Pewter.

Sounds great for the Rams. Sounds AWFUL for the Bucs.

Do we know if this is simply color vs color, or is it monochrome vs monochrome?

That Rams jersey would look even better with blue pants. Yellow all the way, except the helmet? I don't know...

Also, isn't that Rams game their last regular season home game? Because if so, those jerseys could be taken as a preview of some pretty nice Alta if they were to move back to LA.

Color on color games are something that is sorely missed in the NFL and college football. I think this would be great to see. Unfortunately, the Browns DO have a Thursday night game coming up... so brace yourself... the carrot uniform is coming.

My question is will the Jets' greens actually match? The shoulder green still looks a bit off. The color vs. color is good but the monochrome vs. monochrome will be awful. Why do the kids like the monochrome look so much? The less of it is better in my opinion. I am really showing my age as I turn 34 on Monday.
