SFGiants58 Posted February 4, 2016 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Well, I would have been happy with any design that eschewed the Ballard Leaf, but this design is especially pleasing. I like how it calls back to the team's past, while updating the font/veins/edges to fix the original's issues (even if those issues are somewhat due to poor research by the NHL's heritage collection). I do hope the 1967 set comes through in some regard, i.e. the use of a textless '67 Leaf on a shoulder patch or the Northwestern stripe pattern, but I like what they've got so far. VancouverFan69 Posted February 4, 2016 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Absolutely LOVE the Leafs' new crest. A slightly updated version of a true classic. I can't wait to see the new sweaters, though. I hope blue yokes are put back on the whites. The current whites are similar to the Canucks' ones, minus the green and font difference. As well as putting single white striping back on the side of the pants. Overall, congratulations to the Leafs on a job well done and more importantly, to Leaf fans far and wide. I find it ironic that they're going back to the logo they had for bulk of their existence, but yet they're going with a jersey they only had for 3 years. Lame.
