It's supposed to be the Jolly Roger. the smooth, computer produced lines of the new skull and swords make no sense. This logo with the rougher skull and swords, a football that wasn't swiped from google images "clip art football" and the more tattered flag all combined to nail that aesthetic. I don't care what anyone says, it looked like something straight out of 1997 and it wasn't going to work any longer. Old logo was a modern classic. That said, why not throw something positive out there..... i've always LOVED how the facemask looks on the current helmet when combined with the pewter base. not really sure if it's technically considered "chrome", it's like a chrome-satin combo, but it has a finish on it that no other helmet in the league has, and i think it works well with the pewter. To me the new logo works better because it looks more like a flag instead of a little piece of cloth, and it puts more emphasis on the skull and swords.
