JCRGraphix Posted December 29, 2015 Share Posted December 29, 2015 So I originally posted in requests looking for help on this project, and I'm still looking, but I figured I'd post what I have done so far. I'm currently putting together a 144-team hockey league project for fun, and I'm looking for anybody who is interested in tackling some of the logo and uniform work. If you're not particularly good at logo stuff, feel free to contribute, and I'll clean up what you have. Basically, it is a rebirth of the WHA similar to the way soccer is done in Europe. There will be 3 main conferences each containing 8 six-team leagues all over the world. comment back or PM me if you're interested! This is an opportunity for established artists to take part in a fun project, and new ones to be involved in something cool to gain experience and exposure on the boards. I'm looking for people interested in doing designs and some simple writing. I already have a system for rosters, so I'll handle that, but everything else is open! Here's a list of the teams. The locations are set and the names in caps are set, but I'm open to names for the unnamed cities. Please include a simple explanation with each team as I want them all to have meaning. For European teams, European style team names work, and whatnot. You will be properly credited if you help in any way. Teams in italic are already designed. Mons Sainte-Waudru... Their branding is explained in the graphic. In case you can't see it: The H.C. Mons Sainte-Waudru logo is a simple shield logo featuring a famous statue of a monkey from the city of Mons set on top of the city flag. It is tradition for visitors to rub the monkey's head with the left hand for good luck. The city flag is again featured as the secondary logo. The thick red and white chest, arm, and sock stripes represent the flag of the city of Mons. Riyadh roundel logo features the coat of arms of the House of Saud, who own the team and for whom the team is named. The name of the club is featured in Arabic and English and the colors are taken from the Saudi Arabian national coat of arms. I understand why you're asking for help because I've never actually completed a series I've started, it's tough. As for the designs, I really like them and the thought put into them. My only gripe is on Royal H.C. Riyadh concept, the green and blue colors don't stand out from each other enough when they're touching each other, on the home and alternate jerseys I could barely even tell there were 2 stripes there. (Internet is sketchy here in Afghanistan, so I'm putting these up quickly) The Royal Dragoons Hockey Club logo is based on the cap pin worn by all of the members of the Royal Dragoons. It is a modern stylized version of a classic emblem. The uniform takes inspiration from the uniforms of the Royal Dragoons. The special blue uniforms reflect the uniforms of the 11th Hussars (the unit of the owner's grandfather). The Assistant Captains wear Sergeant chevrons. mamiller99 Posted December 30, 2015 Share Posted December 30, 2015 From my GHA team, I recommend the name Brisbane Bullsharks. First off, the name has alliteration. Second off, sounds intimidating. And thirdly, I feel hearing Australian broadcasters say Bullsharks would be awesome. This series seems to have a lot of ambition, but I am very excited for this to happen. The forum needs this series, as like a step in resurgence.Also, are you exploring the possibility of using manufacturers other than Nike and Adidas, like Under Amour, Kappa, or New Balance?And where did you find the goalie template?
