I think they did that with Adidas.

White helmet sticks out like a sore thumb.

Clearly they didn't.. Those aren't their  normal pants.. That's part of the problem with teams who do the full alternate uniform.. Typically the standard uniform is designed to tie all the elements together, so going full alternate uniform sometimes requires a new matching helmet.. If they just go alternate jersey, it normally helps by having the standard helmet and pants to maintain some visual stability

Stated reasoning behind them aside, there is absolutely no good reason whatsoever for the Ducks to be wearing orange. That's just not right. Ohio State should never wear blue and Duke should never wear Carolina blue. You just don't wear your rival's colors.

First, you can't ignore the stated reasoning. Context is everything. If Oregon wore orange apropos of nothing then it would be a problem, but in the context of trying to match the Duck costume it's more than in bounds. If they didn't wear the orange parts of the duck costume it wouldn't make sense. That's the "good reason" to wear orange. The duck mascot has orange feet and has for a very long time. Nobody's ever had an issue with the duck mascot having orange feet or that being too close to what Oregon State wears.

Second, Oregon wears black ALL THE TIME. That's way more of an infringement on Oregon State's colors than their duck feet were last week.

Third, they wore it with green and yellow. There was no mistaking what school they were representing.

Fourth, it was just the socks, shoes, and facemask. It wasn't a key element like the pants, jersey, or helmet.

Maine looks good. James Madison should stop wearing black. It would have looked ao much better with purple.

We looked awful with that gold/white/black combo... Watching the game, even my friend goes 'Why do we have black pants on'

Nike seems to be making more custom practice jerseys for their premier teams, though Texas went to a more conservative look this year. I'd love to see Ohio State go with something using the Northwestern stripes, similar to what the Browns used when they came back in 1999.

All Oregon really needs is apple green and yellow. Or darker green and volt. Plenty you can do with that.

I'll give them credit though. They looked great Saturday

Utah love the helmets. Uniforms need a rebrand. Mountains on uniforms are so 1998.

The mountains work for Utah.  These unis are only 3 years old. Not sure these mountains are really comparable to the Jazz lol.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
