Wow - didn't realize Carolina hasn't gone black on black since '13.  It's a great look for them (though they should wear their primary uniform w/ silver pants in the SB.)

Well, technically, because they haven't worn the "home" jersey yet, they could designate blue as their home jersey color. I think.

Although the Broncos' white against the Panthers' black wouldn't be too bad, I was really looking forward to seeing the Broncos' orange jerseys in that California sun (because about half of the game will be during the daytime). I also think the Panthers' white jerseys are "okay", but if they're going to use silver helmets, then they need silver pants along with it.

So that's why the Seahawks humiliated the Broncos two years ago. They wore orange! And this whole time I thought it was because the defense was unprepared and because Manning turtled like he's known to do in the playoffs. Maybe if they went white they'd have scored six more touchdowns.

It's a valiant effort for the Broncos to wear white, but I think after the game is decided, we'll look back and say the Broncos had way too much orange on their uniforms.

While I prefer Carolina's road unis to their home ones, it's not like their home unis are bad either (IMO). Denver's orange is just awful looking. Glad we won't see those unis like we did two years ago, which was the worst aesthetically looking Super Bowl ever.

As stated in the other thread, the Broncos are winless when donning the orange. 0-4, all in humiliating fashion:

SB12 vs Dallas 27-10

SB22 vs Washington 42-10

SB24 vs San Francisco 55-10

SB48 vs Seattle 43-8

Combined score: Opponents 167, Broncos 38

This will be the fifth time in Super Bowl history that the designated home team will opt wear white. Those teams are 3-1 all-time:

Cowboys SB13 loss to PIT

Redskins SB17 win over MIA

Cowboys SB27 win over BUF

Steelers SB40 win over SEA

3-1. The Redskins were the home team in Super Bowl 17 and wore white.

It's interesting to me that on all of the Super Bowl materials this year they're using 50 instead of the roman numeral L. I get that Super Bowl L is not the most attractive looking when spelled out, but 49 Super Bowls using roman numerals and now is when you decide to buck tradition?
