I've said it before, but I'll say it again. The "SAC" moniker really doesn't bother me. It's a pretty common term around here when referring to the city, and it's really not that much different from ATL or PHX. That's kind of an NBA thing, so, whatever. I actually like that it's on a jersey that's really similar to the primary road set. It makes it so it doesn't stand out as much. It probably could've been on a grey/silver jersey, but that's splitting hairs a bit IMO.

The best part of this set, though? No stupid sleeved jerseys!

Still a bit disappointing to me not seeing "Sacramento" on any of them.  Not really feeling the black alternate, and is it me, or is the Kings wordmark a bit smaller on the black one?

Yes, that is the flag for the city of Sacramento.

Why is the black called the "global" jersey? Do they only wear it when playing in Lisbon and Tokyo?

There's no way they are. They're probably just trying to keep it a "surprise"

Looks like NBA.com fixed their mistake...

Guess that's what I get for giving the Pistons the benefit of the doubt. I wonder why they decided not to rebrand this year.

I didn't think I'd like the Kings new uniforms but I do, especially that black jersey. I just wish they'd have used the right lion logo on one of them though.

One thing in defense of the new Kings' uniforms is the symmetry between the home and away.  I like that the inside stripe is purple, with gray outside of it, and then purple outside of that.  Then they just change the primary color between white and black.  That's a nice touch.

Also, all the color play well together.  A lot of times we see these re-brands and organizations/teams/schools just throw in a 3rd or 4th color and it sticks out like a sore thumb.  All these colors play well together.

So bland, im tired of the same font on all the jerseys...The KINGS font they threw away and the old sacramento were 10x better. Total failure for such unique colors, everyone in the league just wants to look the same knowadays..

The subtle hints of powder blue are definitely an hommage to the inagural 86-90 era, in which they were still using KC era powder blue.

Their new colors are definitely an hommage to the current era with a few differences.

The home, road, and alternate striping are most likely an hommage to the 86-90 home striping pattern and the similar 03-08 home and road striping pattern.

The Global jersey looks like it's paying hommage to the 95-02 black road jersey.

We haven't seen the backs yet. But judging by the way these were put together giving lots of hommages to past history, there's a possibility at least one the new jerseys will have the nameplate underneath the back numbers. We'll see, once more pictures are uploaded...
