I think the shape of the Washington Monument is too generic to stand on its own, but if you include the city name, it helps the viewer figure out what it is.Β Β The silver bevelling of the star also really gives off a Texas Rangers vibe. I think you should find a way to cut down on silver and work in more gold, since that's part of the Nationals' identity. Plus maybe a font that is closer to theirs.
