I see the Caps in their thirds and the Sharks back in teal as they announced year before last. I asked this topic in a prior thread, but I think it's appropriate to have its own thread. They like to push those things and get them as much exposure as they can, and with the #PaintitOrange thing it makes more sense than ever this time around. If they don't, I will eat my hat. I could even see the Islanders wearing theirs once especially if they play the Rangers. Or does NHL still have the rule where you can only use 2 jerseys for the entire post season? If any upside came from their epic playoff collapse, it's that it put the "Black Armour" fad to an end and they'll finally be wearing teal like they should. Honest to goodness, as much as I love them, I really hope they DON'T wear them for the playoffs. They are just such a huge departure from the regulars. A much larger departure than the previous third (which is now the home jersey) and the old road jersey a la 2014. But nope. Looking cool and tough > winning. Last season, they basically announced in September that when they made the playoffs, they would wear teal... then they missed the playoffs. I'm asking because I remember the Canucks in 2007 started out wearing the original Orca uniforms against the Dallas Stars before switching to the vintage Stick In Rink jersey for game 7 and continued to wear them in the next round against Anaheim.
