That HC bit is such pretentious crap.

That said Worcester has a very high minor league franchise burn rate so it's probably not going to last.

Too detailed and busy for me. The HC part could be a little unique if they didn't relegate it to a tiny detail in an already detailed logo. If you're going that route then lean into it. No city name, be bold. This is slapped on.

Certainly not a fan of that NHL2000 "WORCESTER" font.

.  . . particularly since it doesn't go with the Railers font . . . at all.

Also, I know that Worcester claims to have been founded on seven hills (just like Rome) and there are seven "hills" in the logo.  However, I don't think any of the hills are snow capped mountains.  The logo makes it look like Worcester has been transplanted in Colorado.

Right.  A font clash really messes up a logo.  This is the problem with the Brooklyn Cyclones' logo.

Brooklyn Cyclones (2001 - Pres)

There's no reason they couldn't have done the C in a style that is more compatible with the B.  The result would have been similar to the Kansas City A's logo.

Regarding the hockey team, "Worcester" and "Railers" could be in different fonts if one word were in a cursive font and the other word were in some kind of block or serifed font.  But, failing that, the words should be in the same font.

I agree. And the smaller they make the mountains, the more foreboding the train appears. Seems like duh.

Why stop at 10.  I like your idea of smaller mountains.  I think 100 tiny mountains would work well here.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Now we're talking. If they use this template and replace the shamrocks with mountains, they could probably fit 1,000 on there.

Apparently it's part of the team name.

The newly dubbed team, Worcester Railers HC, aims to be an ambassador of the city of Worcester and the Central Massachusetts region throughout the United States and Canada.

* * *

The HC (representing a “Hockey Club”) in the name is unique in North American sports, playing off a European model used in hockey and most prominently in soccer (FC).

As for the hills/mountains, as I mentioned above, Worcester claims to have been founded on seven hills . . . and it's a magic number . . .

You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office.

Ted: Why?

The train is going uphill while the brakes have locked all the wheels. And, incase the HC was superfluous, they added crossed hockey sticks and a puck. Eastern Massachusetts has also been relocated into the Rockies. And, the near alliterative name is going to have a lot of people calling them the Woostah Wailahs.
