That logo on the right is their best logo. The wolf looks cooler. The background looks nicer. The only thing I like about the new logo is the North Star. But overall the old one is better.

The logo is solid. Needs more trees though.

But it definitely isn't better than the current secondary. Why not just slap the roundel around that and recolor it in the new colors?

I wonder if the new one will be easier to print and for other applications.

Man, I swear people will complain about anything.

The new logo isn't anything special to be sure, but it's decent and, in my opinion, better than their current logo. It ditches black, adds more green, and adds a more accurate depiction of a wolf. The only two things I don't like about it are the double blues (which automatically makes it dated) and the "blending" wolf. The roundel itself does not bother me, even in a league full of them. The font is one of the best things about this logo; it has a forest-like feel to it. Sure, the "A" is a bit weird, but I like how they took a chance on this instead of going for something "kewl".

I'd say 6/10.

I give it a 8237437211574063/0.

I'm not buying the 'A' story, the same guy that designed that logo wanted the same A on the Mavericks new set some time ago.

I think the double blue is what bothers me the most. I would have loved to see them emphasize green more in their logo and uniforms. Forest green jerseys with neon green for the tree pattern and pale blue trim.

Google "Kensington Runestone" and that may help explain the funky A...

You mean the thing that academics all agree is a forgery?

The Wolves could have eliminated the need for double-blue by making the ball gray and making the wolf white.

I grew up in that area. We all pretty much knew it was a fake. Still didn't stop us from having a museum based around it :)

trust me, there have been much worse things than museums built up over falsehoods.

Wow!   Much better.  The Tulane-like color palette is way underused in sports.

I figured a Bucks fan may appreciate it!

It's a stretch, but you can kind of see it.

Throwing aside the whole "inspired by" spiel, IMO the font is pretty nice.  I think it could translate pretty well to the jersey front, especially in one-layer white on navy.

Most runic alphabets I've seen draw that rune as slanted to one side, but a straigh ^ isn't out of the question.

Either way that run's dual symbolic meanings are "wild oxe" and "strength." Neither of which have anything to do with wolves, Minnesota, or wolves in Minnesota. Regardless of what Nike-speak the designers throw at us.

The A only bugs me because they also have a V in their name and with the way they're both positioned the two characters are more or less pointing in the the same direction so my eyeballs' first impression is those are the same letter. I would've just thrown a horizontal bar on there and not worried about it. It's a big visual risk for a reward that is, what exactly? I don't like it. If they were the Minnesota Timberdogs then it wouldn't have that instant vibration.

It feels like one of Fraser Davidson's SB Nation logos that a team decided to use for real.

Why not just go with something like this:

It would still work in a similar way but also gives the timber aspect.

I was actually working up something along these lines.  new colors with the old wolf and treeline.  Would be much better than what they're going with.  great work
