Minnesota Timberwolves

Like everyone else, I'm not a big fan of these since they look like uniforms that'd result if the WIzards and Mavs merged, there's no green even though it was featured heavily in their marketing, and the blues don't contrast enough.  They missed a perfect opportunity to rebrand.

What a disappointment..

They could have even added green in that middle white stripe between the two blues, which would have at least differentiated slightly more from the Wizards and Mavs. Regardless, they really do look like surf shorts.

I will say though, I think it's an improvement from the last set. But there was so much unused potential with this.

After letting these digest for a little bit, they still suck and are still the worst looking set in the entire league.

Good lord the T Wolves are a stupid organization.

This is also the organization that hired David Kahn.

I think the Wolves do the Bullets better than the Wizards, simply due to the fact that the numbers don't overlap the stripes (a big pet-peeve of mine). From that aspect I like what the Wolves did. For the uniform overall however, I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. Like others have mentioned, it badly needs green (especially since they're creating a green uni, the alt. will look out of place with the color being used minimally). But I like how they modernized without going completely insane or nuts.

For those saying that they look like the Mavs, well, they did when they entered the league in 1989, so I don't consider it that big of a deal.

Needs stripes green.

It does, and more.

Different doesn't always mean better looking. The new template sucks and it has no historic connection to the team.

The Bucks ditched their classic maroon color, at the team's last redesign unveiling. But the changes were so well done that the reception was mostly positive. There's a way to apply change without ruining the core essence of the team's identity. Unfortunately for the T-Wolves, the reason for their new look is change for the sake of change. Not to improve the look.

The result: the new unis look like crap.

Oh boy. This looks like some weird, bad, randomly-nautical attempt at a Mavericks alt. But it's the Wolves.

This would be okay-at-best for a San Diego expansion team, but I see no rhyme or reason to it being for the Minnesota Timberwolves. It just doesn't make sense.

That's a tough comparison to make, though. The Bucks have a pretty rich visual history from which to draw. The Wolves really don't. I mean, I love the inaugural sets -- and would have loved to see a modernized version of that simple design template — but this is a franchise that's doing everything it can to signal that it's the team of the future.

So I can understand why they came up something that deviates so much from the past.
