Floating around wolves boards is this. Wolf is rendered differently than the current secondary, features more blue, is facing the opposite way and has a green eye.

That's the same wolf, just flipped and without the extra definition and coloring. That's probably just someone else's mockup of what the logo might look like based on either what they've seen or heard, but surely the wolf on the actual logo isn't just a flipped and simplified version of what's already used in their current secondary logo.

If this is close, then I'm certainly a fan.

Of course, assuming this all holds up, I'd hope that they would incorporate a bit more green and maybe lighten the navy a tad kinda like this:

Yes... Make the eye green and it works for me.

If they keep the wolf logo (or something similar) and make that the primary, I'm totally cool with that. The current wolf logo is probably my favorite logo in sports.

of course, its preparation for the time that the roundel will be on the shoulder and a big AD will be on the front of the jersey.

I don't like how the right side of the wolf disappears behind the basketball line.    There should be a wolf back/neck continuation going left to right, overlapping that ball center line.

This is also floating around. A very sloppy, haphazard depiction, but similar to the one above. I have to say, if this is true, it is a complete downgrade to the current secondary.

The logo is now very bottom-heavy, and it gets rid of one of the best elements of the secondary, the tree line. I also don't know why the wolf is so small and why the gray is so prominent considering how much they emphasized the blue and green in the teasers.

I don't think there's a rule about roundels, but probably strongly encouraged or something.  Several new logos are not roundels.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Aren't all of these 'mock-ups' basically just the current alt logo?:

Which, I think is great. It just needs a little refinement and more green.

I'd be perfectly fine with a touch up of this, with green and the roundel.

Any word on time of the reveal?

Doesn't have to be a roundel. Just has to include the city and team name somewhere. A roundel is just a lazy way to accomplish that.

And must include a basketball, if you listen to some rumors. Adds to the laziness of it. "Basketball plus text, let's do a roundel."
